Hanoi co-organized a workshop on protecting the capital's environment.

Kinhtedothi - On February 19, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Plan No. 49/KH-UBND on coordinating the organization of a scientific conference between the Hanoi People's Committee and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

The workshop was organized to clarify the current situation and causes of environmental pollution in Hanoi; international experience in pollution management, treatment, and environmental protection; specific and urgent tasks and solutions that need to be implemented to improve environmental quality, enhance environmental management capacity, and treat waste in a modern, civilized, and green direction, in order to implement breakthroughs and key tasks in the Hanoi Capital Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, contributing to building a "civilized - civilized - modern" capital.

At the same time, enhance the effectiveness and concretize the cooperation contents between Hanoi People's Committee and Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; Raise awareness, consciousness and action in environmental management and protection of all levels, sectors and people of Hanoi Capital.

With the theme: "Current situation and solutions to handle urgent issues in environmental protection in Hanoi Capital", the workshop is scheduled to be held on the morning of March 14, 2025, at the City People's Committee Hall or a suitable location.

The workshop will focus on a number of contents: Identifying urgent environmental issues in Hanoi Capital; focusing on identifying environmental pollution issues (especially air pollution) and identifying specific sources of pollution; International experience in handling environmental pollution, improving environmental management efficiency suitable for Hanoi City; Specific tasks, solutions, and roadmaps for handling environmental pollution issues in the Capital to achieve environmental protection goals set out in the Hanoi Capital Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Focusing on solutions on technology and environmental management.
