Grab is free on December 22 when entering code METRO1

(NLDO) - Grab Vietnam has just announced a special promotion program to connect people with metro line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien).

This is part of an effort to help people experience the metro conveniently and economically, contributing to promoting the sustainable development of smart cities in Ho Chi Minh City.

Specifically, on the first day of metro line 1's official commercial operation, from 4:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. , Grab will offer free rides on all GrabBike and GrabCar trips worth less than VND50,000 for trips with pick-up or destination points at metro stations.

Users simply enter the promo code “METRO1” to enjoy free rides and seamless access to the Metro system.

From December 23 to December 31, the promotion program continues with a discount of VND 20,000 for each GrabBike or GrabCar trip connecting to metro stations between 4:00 and 23:30 every day. The code "METRO1" will help people optimize travel costs, while encouraging the use of public transport during the phase when metro line 1 is in stable operation.

Entering January 2025, Grab continues to accompany the metro line with the promotional code "METRO1" reducing 20% of fares for GrabBike and GrabCar trips linked to metro stations.

This is Grab's long-term commitment to supporting people to move flexibly, encouraging the habit of using public transport, and promoting the development of smart transport systems in Ho Chi Minh City.

This incentive program is part of the strategic cooperation agreement between Grab Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City Railway No. 1 Company Limited, the unit directly managing and operating metro line No. 1.

In addition to implementing incentives, Grab also coordinates communication activities, raises public awareness of the role of public transport, and exchanges experiences in operating smart transport services with related units.

Metro Line 1 is expected to become one of the new traffic symbols, contributing to improving urban infrastructure and reducing traffic congestion in Ho Chi Minh City.
