Interbank transactions in VND increased, in USD decreased

Thus, the average transaction reached 494,365 billion VND/day, an increase of 25,778 billion VND/day compared to last week.

Transaction turnover in USD converted to VND reached about 539,441 billion VND. Average transaction reached 107,888 billion VND/day, down 5,575 billion VND/day.

By maturity, VND transactions mainly focused on overnight (85% of total VND transaction turnover) and 1-week (9%). For USD transactions, the terms with the largest turnover were overnight and 1-week with proportions of 86% and 9%, respectively.

For VND transactions, the average interest rate decreased slightly in the overnight term and increased in most of the remaining terms compared to last week. Specifically, the average overnight interest rate decreased by 0.05%/year to 4.11%/year.

In contrast, the average interest rates for 1-week and 1-month terms increased by 0.18%/year and 0.15%/year to 4.43%/year and 4.56%/year, respectively.

Meanwhile, the average USD interest rate fluctuated in different directions in some key terms, such as the average overnight interest rate remained unchanged at 4.30%/year, the 1-week interest rate increased slightly by 0.01%/year to 4.33%/year, and the 1-month interest rate decreased by 0.04%/year to 4.39%/year.
