Gasoline price today January 31
Gasoline prices on the world market continue to weaken today.
According to data from Oilprice , at 8:40 p.m. on January 30 (Vietnam time), Brent oil was trading at $81.56 per barrel, down $0.84, or 1.02%, from the previous session. WTI oil was at $76.11 per barrel, down $0.67, or 0.87%, from the previous session.
On January 30, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) released its latest World Economic Outlook (WEO) report, raising its forecast for global economic growth in 2024 to 3.1% thanks to the unexpected recovery in developed and emerging economies around the world, including the US and China.
The new forecast is 0.2 percentage points higher than the IMF's previous forecast in October 2023.
Experts predict that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is supporting the oil market.
On the supply side, the US began reimposing sanctions on Venezuela this week. In addition, Saudi Aramco said it had received instructions from the country's Ministry of Energy to maintain its maximum production capacity at 12 million barrels per day rather than increasing it to 13 million barrels per day.
Meanwhile, in the US, according to the American Petroleum Institute, crude oil inventories fell by 2.5 million barrels last week. Official figures will be released on January 31.
In the domestic market, the selling prices of gasoline and oil today, January 31, are applied according to the prices at the management session on the afternoon of January 25 of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade.
Accordingly, gasoline prices were adjusted up. Notably, the price of RON 95 gasoline increased beyond 23,000 VND/liter.
Specifically, the price of E5 gasoline increased to 22,170 VND/liter. The price of RON95 gasoline increased to 23,400 VND/liter.
Diesel price was raised to 20,370 VND/liter. Kerosene price increased to 20,540 VND/liter.

Leaders of some petroleum companies said that recently, the average price of finished gasoline in the Singapore market has tended to increase compared to the previous period. Notably, the increase is relatively strong.
Based on world price developments, businesses forecast that in the adjustment period on February 1, domestic E5 RON 92 gasoline may increase by VND900-1,050/liter, and RON 95 gasoline may increase by VND950-1,050/liter.
Similarly, diesel prices are forecast to increase by VND650-750/liter.
