Circular 28/2024/TT-BGDDT, regulating specialized inspections of preschools, general education institutions and continuing education institutions, takes effect from February 10.

Accordingly, the inspection contents include issuing documents, regulations on internal management and dissemination and education of the law; building an organizational apparatus; implementing regulations on publicity in the field of education; internal inspection work and implementation of regulations on organization and operation according to the Charter, Regulations on organization and operation of educational institutions; socialization of education, management of extra teaching and learning; conditions to ensure education quality; compliance with regulations on education quality assessment; implementation of regulations on collection, management and use of tuition fees, other financial resources, etc.
Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT stipulates: From February 14, teachers who teach outside of school must register their business.
According to Article 6 of this Circular, when teachers or organizations or individuals want to open a tutoring facility, they must comply with the following requirements: Register for business in accordance with the law; publicly disclose information about subjects, tutoring duration, location, form, tutoring time, list of teachers, fee collection level, etc. on the Electronic Information Portal or publicly post at the headquarters of the tutoring facility.
Circular 24/2024/TT-BGDDT promulgating the Regulations on high school graduation exams of the Ministry of Education and Training, which will take effect from February 8, clearly states that the 2025 high school graduation exam will have 3 exam sessions: One exam session for Literature; one exam session for Math; one exam session for an elective subject.
Thus, compared to the 2024 high school graduation exam, from the 2025 high school graduation exam, candidates will no longer have to take the Foreign Language exam as a compulsory subject.
Circular 30/2024/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that from February 14, admission to grade 6 will only be based on the selection method and admission to secondary school will only be conducted once a year.
The admission criteria will be specifically guided by the Department of Education, ensuring fair, objective, transparent admission, suitable to the actual situation in the locality.
According to the circular, from 2025, there will be 3 methods of admission to grade 10 high school, including: Entrance exam, admission review or a combination of entrance exam and admission review.
With the entrance exam method, localities agree to conduct 3 exams, including: Math, Literature and a third exam or subject selected by the Department of Education and Training, but cannot choose a subject for more than three consecutive years.
Provinces and cities can announce the third exam after the end of the first semester, but no later than March 31 every year. The content of the 10th grade entrance exam is included in the general secondary education program, mainly grade 9. The time for the Literature test is 120 minutes, Math is 90, the third subject is 60 or 90 minutes, the combined test is 90 or 120 minutes.
For high schools under the Ministry of Education and Training, universities, colleges, and research institutes that organize their own entrance exams, the third exam subject or a combination exam of a number of remaining subjects is selected directly by the Ministry of Education and Training, universities, colleges, and research institutes.
