From the success of the first Dien Hong Award - 2023, the second Dien Hong Award was officially launched on June 9, 2023. After more than 6 months of launching, the Award Secretariat received 2,679 entries from 138 central and local press agencies. The Standing Organizing Committee and the Award Secretariat coordinated with the Vietnam Journalists Association to complete the data entry of entries, screening, classifying and selecting through many rounds to select works that meet all the conditions, quality and excellence according to the award rules to conduct preliminary and final rounds. The works participating in this award are highly appreciated for their quality, good content, close to life, highlighting the position, role, functions and tasks of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, strongly spreading the spirit of innovation and drastic actions of the National Assembly and People's Councils to promptly remove difficulties, promote and create development, for the benefit of the people and the country, portraying the image of a typical elected representative close to the people, close to the people, for the people.
The final judging panel selected 79 best works to award prizes, including 7 A prizes, 14 B prizes, 20 C prizes and 38 consolation prizes. According to the press category, the award structure includes: Print newspapers have 2 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 6 C prizes and 10 consolation prizes; magazines (including print magazines and electronic magazines) have 1 A prize, 1 B prize, 1 C prize and 2 consolation prizes; electronic newspapers have 2 A prizes, 3 B prizes, 5 C prizes, 10 consolation prizes; radio has 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 2 C prizes and 7 consolation prizes; television has 1 A prize, 3 B prizes, 3 C prizes and 8 consolation prizes; photojournalism has 1 B prize, 3 C prizes and 1 consolation prize. The work "Good supervision, creating trust for voters" (electronic newspaper - 3 parts) by author Pham Van Quang (Dien Bien Phu Newspaper) won an encouragement prize in the contest.
The third Dien Hong Award was launched at the second Dien Hong Award Ceremony with the hope that there will be many journalistic works with new explorations, discoveries, and creativity to write about the National Assembly and the People's Council. The press continues to affirm its role as a bridge between the "Party's will" and the "people's heart", a forum for people of all walks of life to contribute their enthusiasm and intelligence to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; creating positive spillovers, encouraging the spirit of solidarity, aspiration, self-reliance, self-reliance, and creativity among the people to build a prosperous and happy country.
