Attending the award ceremony were representatives of the Vietnam Journalists Association, leaders of Journalists Associations of provinces and cities along Route 6, leaders of press agencies under the Hanoi Journalists Association; representatives of the winning authors and groups of authors.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), the Hanoi Journalists Association - Head of the Emulation Cluster of Journalists Associations of provinces and cities along Route 6 in 2024 organized the launching of a Writing Contest on the theme: "Thang Long - Hanoi culture converges and spreads" in the press agencies of the Emulation Cluster.
The contest aims to affirm the development of the Capital in the spirit of Resolution No. 15-NQ/TW dated May 5, 2022 of the Politburo on "Orientations and tasks for the development of Hanoi Capital to 2030, with a vision to 2045"; increase the attention of Hanoi press agencies and press agencies of the Journalists Association of provinces and cities along Route 6 to compose many press works about the Capital, about the culture of Thang Long - Hanoi with a thousand years of civilization. Thereby, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU dated February 22, 2022 of the Hanoi Party Committee "On the development of cultural industry in the Capital for the period 2021 - 2025, orientation to 2030, vision to 2045"; Program No. 06-CTr/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee on "Cultural development; Improve the quality of human resources; build elegant and civilized Hanoians in the period 2021-2025".
As of August 31, 2024, the Organizing Committee has received 247 entries from 4 Journalists Associations in the Cluster and 9 Hanoi press agencies. The preliminary selection committee has selected 104 quality entries (including 25 print entries, 48 electronic entries, 6 radio entries and 25 television entries). The entries have rich and diverse content, reflecting in-depth the culture of Thang Long-Hanoi; thereby arousing the pride, awareness and responsibility of every citizen of the capital to preserve, conserve and develop the most beautiful values of the land of the thousand-year-old capital.
At the Award Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 special prize, 30 first, second, third and consolation prizes to 31 excellent works in 4 types of journalism: print, electronic, radio and television. In which, the special prize belonged to the group of authors of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper (Hanoi City Journalists Association) with the work "Creating an "identification code" for Hanoi people".
Dien Bien Journalists Association alone had 3 works winning prizes at the Writing Contest “Thang Long - Hanoi Culture Convergence and Spread”. Specifically, the work “Creative Cultural Space - a tourist attraction in West Lake” by the group of authors Nguyen Thi Dung, Ly Nhu Quynh, Chu Anh Linh, Lo Minh Tuan, Quang Ngoc Hai, Dien Bien Radio and Television Station won Second Prize; the work “Sat loi nghia hau Ha Noi - Dien Bien” by the group of authors Nguyen Thi Hien, Mai Luong Giap, Dien Bien Phu Newspaper won Third Prize; the work “Thang Long - Hanoi Cultural Heritage: Convergence and Spread” by the group of authors Mai Luong Giap, Tran Thu Hang, Nguyen Thu Phuong won the Encouragement Prize.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates to 5 Journalists Associations of provinces and cities along Route 6 for their outstanding achievements in organizing the Writing Contest "Thang Long - Hanoi Culture Convergence and Spread".
