Dr. Nguyen Xuan Duong, Chairman of the Vietnam Animal Husbandry Association, said that in animal husbandry in Vietnam, disease prevention is extremely important, in which the number one solution is biosafety in animal husbandry, the second is the solution of using vaccines. However, when using vaccines, we must follow the recommendations of experts and vaccine manufacturers on which subjects, at what time, what vaccination process... to avoid any consequences caused by vaccines.
With 270 sows and boars vaccinated with AVAC ASF LIVE vaccine, all are healthy and have antibodies, this is a positive signal in the journey to protect breeding herds against African swine fever . I think this is a positive signal, but I hope AVAC Company will continue the next testing steps to build the most optimal vaccination process. So that ASF vaccine can soon be used for sows nationwide, to ensure enough piglets for breeding, according to Vietnam Economic Magazine .
