The birth of Princess Beatrice's second daughter, Athena, could be the impetus for Harry and Meghan to return to the UK. Experts say that if work brings Harry to the UK, he will want to meet the new royal.
Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their second daughter, Athena, on January 22. Athena is the younger sister of Sienna, 3, and half-sister of Wolfie, 8. The good news is sure to make Harry and Meghan, parents to Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, extremely happy.
Royal expert Jennie Bond told the Mirror: "I believe Beatrice has sent some photos of Athena to Harry and Meghan. I don't think this will prompt them to come to the UK immediately, but if charity or business work brings Harry here, he will be very interested in meeting his new nephew."
The baby girl's name Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi also seems to have an interesting connection to Harry and Meghan's daughter. Lilibet was named after the late Queen Elizabeth II, her nickname as a child. Beatrice also chose Elizabeth as a middle name for both Athena and her eldest daughter Sienna (born 2021). Athena also has a second middle name, Rose.
Ms. Bond also shared more about the birth of Athena: "This is fantastic news. After a difficult year for many members of the Royal Family, 2025 looks brighter. The premature birth and the baby being so small must have been worrying for everyone. I think the hospital deserves credit for keeping the birth a complete secret for a week. But it seems all went well and the family are very happy."
