Record low US cherry import prices

Meanwhile, at supermarkets such as Co.opmart, MM Mega Market, Go!..., imported American cherries are also being sold at prices ranging from 300,000 VND to over 400,000 VND/kg.
Explaining the low price of cherries, importers said that due to abundant supply, the harvest season is in full swing in the US. This is also an agricultural product that the US Department of Agriculture supports in promoting abroad, including Vietnam.
Pepper price today: Positive signals from the market

Ms. Hoang Thi Lien - President of the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association said that Vietnam is still the world's leading pepper producer and exporter. However, the current deep processing rate of the pepper industry is only around 20%.
"The nature of the pepper industry is that pepper is grown, picked, dried in the sun for 3 days and then eaten. To increase the value, the pepper itself must be clean and the amount of deep processing must be increased. It is necessary to increase the output of ground pepper and crushed pepper for export to high-value markets such as the EU and the US," Ms. Lien recommended.
Domestic coffee prices remain at 68,000 VND/kg
Domestic coffee prices on August 10, 2023, in the Central Highlands provinces tended to increase from August 9 and increased by 100-200 VND, maintaining the high price on August 10, ranging from 67,400 to 67,800 VND/kg, the highest at 68,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND compared to last week.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at a price of 67,100 - 67,200 VND/kg.
Today's coffee price in Dak Lak province in Cu M'gar district is currently at 67,800 VND/kg. In Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 66,800 VND/kg.
World coffee prices, on the world exchange, at the end of the first trading session of the week, Robusta coffee prices on the London (UK) exchange in the latest trading session reversed to increase, up 0.22%, ranging from 2,659 - 2,695 USD/ton depending on the delivery term.
