In the 2023-2024 school year, the University of Science and Technology, University of Danang (UD) had 03 students winning international competitions, 66 students winning national competitions, more than 100 students winning city competitions and 17 students winning the title of "Outstanding Outstanding Students". At the international competition, a group of students from the University of Science and Technology including Le Ngoc Bao Anh - Class 23_KHDL1, Luu Duy Quang - Class 19TCLC_DT2, Vo Dac Bao An - Class 21TCLC_DT1 excellently won the Silver Medal in the competition "The 2024 ICPC Asia Hanoi Regional Contests". Three members of this team also won the ICPC Central Region Championship Cup and the First Prize in the National ICPC Competition. This is an outstanding achievement affirming the quality of training high-quality human resources of the University at the national and international level.
In the National Competition, 66 students achieved excellent results in the competitions including: The 33rd Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad had 01 student winning the Bronze Cup of the Super Cup Block, 03 students winning the Third Prize of the Super Cup Block, 02 students winning the Second Prize of the IT Specialized Block, 01 Third Prize of the IT Specialized Block, 03 students winning the Bronze Third Prize of ICPC Asia Hanoi 2024 (Award reserved for Vietnamese teams). At the same time, 30 students won the Second, Third, and Encouragement prizes at the 34th National Mechanics Olympiad - 2024.
In addition, the University's students also won the First Prize and Second Prize of the Future Creation Competition - VietFuture 2024; First Prize and Third Prize of the Fast Design B Competition of the Talent Competition of FESTIVAL 2024, Second Prize and Third Prize of the Fast Design A Competition of the Talent Competition of FESTIVAL 2024; All-round Team Prize of Festival XIV 2024; 02 Encouragement Prizes of the FuturArc Prize International Architecture Competition 2024 and the ASEAN Information Security Student Competition 2024. The achievements of Polytechnic students in national competitions contribute to further affirming that training human resources in science, technology and scientific research (NCKH) is the strength of the University of Science and Technology, UD.
At the city level, more than 100 students won prizes in competitions including the Central Region ICPC Competition, the Engineering Project for Community Service (EPICS) Competition 2024, the Most Effective Solution in the ASU - Dow Vietnam STEM Program, the Connected Innovation and Technology X.0 Contest - CITX.C 2024, the Smart Campus Competition 2023 in the Asia - Pacific region, the Danang City Student Scientific Research Competition 2024, the Smart Campus Asia Pacific Competition SCAPA 2024, the "Ideas for Designing Mascots and Decorative Symbols for Tet" Competition 2025, the "Enjoy Danang - Enjoy Danang" Tourism Check-in Model Design Competition 2024, the KU AIdeation Challenge 2024. At the ceremony, the School also commended and rewarded 17 students with outstanding achievements in the 2023-2024 school year.
