Domestic coffee price list updated at 4:30 a.m. on February 3, 2025 |
During the week from January 27 to February 2, 2025, Robusta coffee futures for March 2025 delivery recorded an increase of 174 USD/ton, while Arabica coffee prices increased by 30.3 cents/lb. Domestic coffee prices also increased by an average of 3,500 VND/kg.
Compared to last week, Robusta coffee prices increased by $538/ton, Arabica increased by 19.2 cents/lb and domestic coffee prices increased by VND5,000 to VND5,500/kg. This increase occurred in the context of the Lunar New Year, with concerns about low supply and disruptions from Vietnam and Brazil being the main factors driving up prices.
After Tet, from today (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), farmers in the Central Highlands begin production work, watering coffee and harvesting the rest of the crop. Last year, many households had a bumper crop, with incomes of billions of dong thanks to high coffee prices and stable output.
Some farmers are now holding back their produce, waiting for prices to rise further. Authorities and cooperatives in the Central Highlands provinces are actively supporting farmers in preserving their produce and finding outlets, thereby increasing the value of their coffee.
