After 4 exciting days (from April 11 to 14), the Vietnam International Tourism Fair - VITM Hanoi 2024 attracted nearly 4,000 Vietnamese and international tourism businesses to work, nearly 80,000 visitors to visit and shop. That is the information just provided by Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, Deputy Head of the Fair Organizing Committee at the Closing Ceremony of VITM Hanoi 2024 which took place on the afternoon of April 14 in Hanoi.

With the theme "Vietnam Tourism - Green transformation for sustainable development", VITM Hanoi 2024 continues to affirm its brand and position as the leading tourism promotion event of Vietnam tourism when gathering the participation of more than 700 units, which are promotion agencies and tourism businesses from 55 provinces and cities of Vietnam and 16 countries and territories, with a scale of 480 booths.
Summarizing the results of VITM Hanoi 2024, Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Lan said: The fair attracted nearly 4,000 Vietnamese and international tourism businesses to work with more than 12,000 "B to B" appointments (transactions between businesses) on the sidelines of the fair. More than 10,000 tours and promotional tourism products were provided at the fair, attracting nearly 80,000 visitors to visit and shop.
Along with that, 23 tourism promotion events and activities were organized between businesses and businesses, businesses and tourists, and between Vietnamese and international tourism promotion agencies, thereby creating a vibrant atmosphere, affirming the strong determination of tourism workers nationwide to accelerate recovery and tourism development.

Notably, with the participation of many state management agencies on tourism from central to local levels, researchers, tourism experts, and leaders of tourism businesses, the forum has specified the content and requirements of green transformation in the tourism sector; proposed effective linkage and coordination mechanisms to mobilize resources to implement green transformation in tourism; specified initiatives to approach and expand the market for green tourism business models.
Thereby, VITM Hanoi 2024 encourages tourism businesses to immediately innovate activities to build green destinations, green products, train workers with knowledge of green tourism, contributing to the development of Vietnamese tourism in a green and sustainable direction.
In particular, within the framework of VITM-Hanoi 2024, the organizing committee has honored units, organizations and individuals who have made many contributions to the development of Vietnam tourism. The honoring ceremony has truly become a festival for the tourism business community, encouraging businesses to promote emulation movements, innovation, creativity, and actively contribute to the recovery and development of Vietnam tourism.

At the closing ceremony, the organizing committee awarded Commemorative Medals to representatives of large-scale booths; booths with impressive designs; and booths that organized special activities, attracting visitors at the VITM Hanoi Fair 2024.
According to a quick survey of 50 units participating in VITM Hanoi 2024, the revenue from tourism product sales during the 4 days of the Fair reached over 180 billion VND; 92% of enterprises achieved their targets when participating in the Fair, of which 5.4% exceeded their expected targets; 91.9% of units were satisfied with the activities at the Fair; 25% wanted to change the location of their booths for more convenience; 81% of units committed to participating in VITM Hanoi Fair 2025.
