Nearly 1,800 students from Cam Thuy 1 Ethnic Boarding Secondary School and Cam Thuy 1 High School participated in the financial education program.
The programs are highly appreciated for their innovation, creativity, and breakthrough in communication. Continuing the goals of raising awareness and understanding of financial knowledge and skills for students, the financial education program Smart with Money was organized for nearly 1,800 high school students at 2 ethnic boarding secondary schools Cam Thuy 1 and Cam Thuy 1 High School.

Through the sharing from experts of the State Bank and the actual contest content, the "Understanding Finance" contest has provided useful and interesting knowledge about Vietnamese currency, some forms of payment, security warnings in non-cash payments to students in a vivid, simple, easy-to-understand and widely spread way. Thereby, helping students early access to basic financial knowledge, such as: reasonable spending, saving, investing. At the same time, they have an understanding of money and the history of Vietnamese currency, how to behave with money, know how to appreciate the value of labor, feel the messages about love of labor, humanity, and kindness.

Many of the questions used in the “Financial Literacy” contest are excerpted from the book “Being Smart with Money – Avoiding Worry” by author Le Thi Thuy Sen - Director of the Communications Department of the State Bank of Vietnam - who has 20 years of experience working in the fields of finance, communications, and deposit insurance. The book is considered a good learning material for financial education for the community today.

Concepts that seem complicated and difficult to understand such as inflation, deflation, interest rates, exchange rates, etc. have been defined and explained in an easy-to-understand and logical way by the book, and are integrated into the content of the 30 stories in the book. The book also helps students practice reading culture, improve their skills, personality and develop comprehensively.
