Russia has been banned from the 2022 and 2026 World Cups after the country launched a special military operation in Ukraine. Faced with that situation, FIFA president Gianni Infantino announced that the organization is ready to welcome the Russian team to participate in the World Cup in the future.
"We all hope that the peace talks will be successful. I think we need to support that for the world, more than football," said the FIFA chief.
If football can play a small part, once peace is established, FIFA would like all teams in the world to be able to play football."
