According to the plan, the voluntary blood donation festival will be held throughout the Eximbank system and divided into 4 phases. This is the second blood donation campaign of Eximbank officers and employees in Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho, after the successful organization in Hanoi on April 12, 2024. Phases 3 and 4 will be held next in the Southeast and Central regions.
Eximbank's leadership participated in blood donation at the event.
The 2024 Blood Donation Festival organized by Eximbank is part of a series of activities to celebrate the bank's 35th anniversary. With the message "Connecting the community, spreading love", the program has received enthusiastic support from a large number of Eximbank employees in Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho since its launch.
In particular, this blood donation session also had the participation of Ms. Pham Thi Mai Phuong - Member of the Board of Supervisors, Ms. Le Thi Mai Loan - Deputy General Director, Mr. Dao Hong Chau - Deputy General Director and leaders of blocks, departments of the Headquarters, and business units of Eximbank.
The enthusiastic participation of the bank's Board of Directors has inspired employees across the system, contributing to spreading love and good deeds to the community.
A representative of Eximbank Youth Union said that donating blood is a meaningful activity towards the community launched by Eximbank every year. This is a cultural practice that is always maintained and strongly promoted at the bank.
Through the activity, the bank hopes that the blood units shared by Eximbank employees will bring life to many patients and help the health sector to continue to be steadfast and fulfill its mission of caring for people's health. In particular, this blood donation program is even more meaningful as Eximbank prepares to celebrate its 35th anniversary. The bank hopes to spread more humane and positive values to the community.
The 2024 Humanitarian Blood Donation Festival - Phase 2 of Eximbank employees was held in Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho, followed by the Southeast region and the Central region.
Coming to donate blood very early, Mr. Vu The Hien, Director of Planning and Finance Division of Eximbank shared: “ I feel very happy to have contributed and done something meaningful for the community. Especially, in this blood donation campaign, I feel even happier when I see my colleagues who used to be shy and worried, now boldly participate and come to donate blood in large numbers.
I hope the bank will continue to organize more activities like this to help spread love and positive spirit to the community, contributing to building a better society ."
Eximbank employees in Can Tho area participate in blood donation at the event.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen, an administrative specialist at Eximbank, has donated blood more than 20 times, but a day ago she was still anxious and eagerly waiting for the time to donate blood. “ I really want to be able to donate more. Before, I was very healthy and donated 3-4 times a year and felt very happy because I could contribute my small part to society, helping the blood bank have an abundant amount of blood to serve and support better treatment for patients,” Ms. Huyen shared more.
At this program, Eximbank employees contributed 200 units of blood for emergency and preventive care for patients.
It is known that the amount of donated blood will be transferred by Eximbank to the Blood Transfusion - Hematology Hospital to serve emergency cases, creating a reserve blood source, contributing to solving the blood shortage for patients, especially in the second quarter - the time considered to be the most scarce blood of the year.
Previously, during the first blood donation festival for the community organized by the bank in Hanoi, Eximbank Youth Union also received and contributed nearly 100 units of blood from employees .
