Railways reduce train ticket prices in the middle of summer peak

From May 15, the railway will regularly operate many pairs of trains on the North-South route to serve passengers traveling during the summer of 2024.

Specifically, there are 6 pairs of Thong Nhat trains between Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City including: SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8, SE9/SE10, SE11/SE12.

Departing from Hanoi station, train SE1 departs at 20:55, arriving at Saigon station at 6:50; train SE3 departs at 19:20, arriving at 5:45; train SE5 departs at 15:30, arriving at 15:18; train SE7 departs at 6:10, arriving at 18:10; train SE9 departs at 13:05, arriving at 4:00; train SE11 departs at 21:20, arriving at 11:30.

Departing from Saigon station, train SE2 leaves at 20:35, arriving at Hanoi station at 6:00; train SE4 leaves at 19:00, arriving at 5:40; train SE6 leaves at 15:00, arriving at 4:35; train SE8 leaves at 6:00, arriving at 19:12; train SE10 leaves at 12:20, arriving at 4:55; train SE12 leaves at 19:25, arriving at 10:10.

The Hanoi - Vinh route has two trains NA1/NA2. Train NA1 departs from Hanoi station at 9:50 p.m. and arrives at Vinh station at 5:50 a.m. Train NA2 departs from Vinh station at 10:15 p.m. and arrives at Hanoi station at 5:20 a.m.

The Hanoi - Dong Hoi route has the QB1/QB2 train pair. Train QB1 departs from Hanoi station at 20:05 and arrives at Dong Hoi station at 6:30. Train QB2 departs from Dong Hoi station at 15:20 and arrives at Hanoi station at 3:55. In addition, on the Dong Hoi - Hanoi route, there is also train QB4 running at 13:05 and arriving at 3:00.

The Hanoi - Da Nang route has two pairs of trains, SE17/SE18, SE19/SE20. Departing from Hanoi station, train SE17 departs at 20:25, arriving at Da Nang station at 14:35; train SE19 departs at 19:40, arriving at 11:58. Departing from Dong Hoi station, train SE18 departs at 19:25, arriving at Hanoi station at 14:20; train SE20 departs at 18:05, arriving at 11:40.

During the summer period, from May 17 to August 18, 2024, the railway will apply many ticket discount policies. Accordingly, passengers who buy individual tickets for trains SE1/SE2, SE5/SE6, SE9/SE10, SE11/SE12 20-39 days before departure will receive a 5% discount on the ticket price; 40 days or more in advance will receive a 10% discount on the ticket price. However, this policy does not apply to the 4-double-berth compartment on trains SE1/SE2.

The railway also announced ticket prices for two pairs of Hue - Da Nang tourist trains, HĐ1/HD2, HĐ3/HD4, from May 15, 2024. Accordingly, the ticket price for the round trip between Hue and Da Nang, the train runs from Monday to Friday, is 180,000 VND/ticket/way, and 210,000 VND/ticket/way on Saturday and Sunday.

During the summer, the railway still applies discount policies for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, the elderly, war invalids, people with severe disabilities, students... In particular, 2 tickets are free for children under 6 years old when traveling with an adult; children from 6 to 10 years old receive a 25% discount on ticket prices.
