DNVN - FPT wishes to promote cooperation in human resource planning, training high-quality human resources for the semiconductor industry and turning Da Nang city into a "Silicon Valley" in Vietnam.
On June 13, Comrade Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission visited and worked at the FPT Corporation's concentrated information technology (IT) park in Da Nang.
At the meeting, the delegation highly appreciated FPT's development orientation in anticipating the world's science and technology trends, as well as the group's contributions to the country's development goals.
“FPT is one of the leading and innovative units in the field of high technology and new technology in Vietnam. The Group has pioneered in laying the foundation and spreading the reality of the 4.0 revolution, the pinnacle of which is artificial intelligence, for Vietnam, in Vietnam. At the same time, the Group has created jobs, high-income jobs and especially high-quality human resources for Vietnam,” commented Politburo member Phan Dinh Trac.

In Da Nang, FPT is realizing its goal of turning the city into a global digital resource center. The FPT Office Complex (FPT Complex) has been recognized by the Government as a central IT park in 2023. Along with that, the FPT Complex building is expected to complete phase 3 and will be put into use this June.
“FPT Complex is striving for a 30% growth in human resources, equivalent to recruiting 2,000 more people so that by the end of 2024, the total number of employees will be estimated at 7,500,” said Mr. Nguyen Tuan Phuong, Chairman of FPT Software Da Nang. In addition, Mr. Phuong also revealed more about the groundbreaking of the FPT Innovation Center (FIC) project to continue expanding and increasing investment in Da Nang city.
As a strategic investor in Da Nang, Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy General Director of FPT Corporation and General Director of FPT Software affirmed: “FPT will accompany Da Nang to promote the city's development, by continuing to welcome and lead technology trends, contributing to helping the city realize its development strategy. In addition, the semiconductor sector - one of the corporation's pillar technologies - is also the sector that FPT wishes to cooperate with Da Nang. Specifically, we wish to cooperate in human resource planning, training high-quality human resources for the semiconductor industry and turning the city into a "Silicon Valley" in Vietnam. Accordingly, FPT is determined to build 10,000 semiconductor personnel by 2030, then up to 20,000 - 30,000 people per year", Mr. Tuan emphasized.
To build high-quality human resources in Da Nang, by the end of 2023, the number of students studying at FPT Education Organization in Da Nang will be 17,500. In addition, FPT also has an office of the International Student Exchange Center (FPT Edu Global) and the Semiconductor Human Resources Training and Export Center in Da Nang, aiming to train and provide high-quality human resources for the city.
In 2023, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued a Plan on IT industry development in the city by 2030, with the digital economy accounting for at least 30% of the city's GRDP, with at least 8,950 enterprises and 115,000 employees in this sector. In particular, microchip manufacturing is identified as a priority development focus.
In addition to the determination to develop the semiconductor industry, FPT representatives also mentioned four other important technology areas such as artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, digital transformation, and green transformation. FPT is having cooperation programs and strategic investments in these areas and has achieved breakthrough results.
In the field of artificial intelligence, FPT is cooperating with the world's leading names such as NVIDIA, Mila AI Research Institute and Landing AI... In the field of electric vehicles, FPT currently has up to 4,000 engineers and experts in the field of automotive software, a network of more than 150 customers who are famous brands in the world such as Honda, Hyundai, Volvo, VinFast, Ford, Yazaki, LG, Panasonic, NXP.
Regarding digital transformation and green transformation, FPT is developing alongside organizations and businesses through many practical activities, such as consulting on green transformation roadmaps for businesses in many fields, cooperating with USAID to aim for green transformation and set the goal of achieving Net Zero by 2040...
