Mr. Ban Van Them - Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Binh district said: In Yen Binh district, there are currently 6 parishes, 21 sub-parishes, and 2 religious orders of the Lovers of the Holy Cross Community. legally operating in the district, 5 parish priests, 172 officials with 10,910 parishioners, accounting for about 10% of the district's population, living in 15 communes and towns. In addition, there are 8 Protestant parishioners of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam residing in Han Da and My Gia communes.
In the past time, religious activities in the district have been stable in accordance with the provisions of law. The dignitaries, officials, and parishioners have always complied with the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, actively participated in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns launched by all levels and sectors, competed to develop family economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, and enrich themselves legitimately, contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the district.
Up to now, communes in the district with a large Catholic population such as Han Da, Bach Ha, Bao Ai, Mong Son, Yen Binh... have all reached the new rural finish line, people's lives are improving day by day, the appearance of the countryside is changing day by day.
Yen Binh Commune is one of 15 communes and towns with Catholics. There is 1 parish, 2 chapels with nearly 2,000 Catholics, accounting for about 27% of the commune's population. Yen Binh Commune, Yen Binh District has reached the new rural finish line since 2019, with that achievement having a great contribution from Catholics.
Mr. Hoang Van Tu - Secretary of the Party Committee of Yen Binh commune said: Thanks to the joint efforts of the authorities at all levels and the people of Yen Binh commune, the commune has reached the new rural destination since 2019. Since then, the lives of the people have been improved, the average income per capita in rural areas has reached 36 million VND/person/year. Traffic is convenient, the commune roads and commune center roads to district and provincial roads are all asphalted; the main roads of villages, hamlets and inter-village roads have been asphalted and concreted. The landscape is bright, green, clean and beautiful...
Join hands to build our homeland
In recent years, political organizations in the district have actively promoted propaganda and mobilized dignitaries, officials, and Catholics to promote the tradition of solidarity, self-reliance, and mutual assistance. Since then, Catholics have done many practical things to contribute to the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
Priest Nguyen Cong Binh - Parish Priest of Yen Binh, Yen Binh Commune shared: “In Yen Binh Commune, we always encourage parishioners to live a good life, respect God and love the country, and comply with the State's policies and laws, contributing to the district's construction of a new rural district. Along with that, we also actively call on parishioners to live in solidarity to build a material and spiritual life, especially calling on people to do business. We also hope to continue to connect with local authorities to build our homeland better and better.”
Along with that, Yen Binh district always closely directs the Party committees of communes and towns to regularly coordinate with dignitaries and officials to propagate, mobilize, and guide people and followers to participate in programs and goals of local socio-economic development.
Ms. Phan Thanh Yen - President of the Women's Union of Yen Binh district said: Implementing the movement of joining hands with the district to build new rural areas, striving for the district to meet the standards by 2023. The Women's Union of the district as well as other organizations have implemented many programs. In particular, following the movement to build the model of "6 no, 6 clean" in the area and the model of "5 no, 3 clean" launched by the Central Union, the Union has implemented specific projects such as: Planting flowers, planting trees on both sides of the road, launching periodic environmental sanitation in villages and building the model of "5 no, 3 clean".
The “5 no, 3 clean” model: No poverty, no law violations and social evils, no domestic violence, no population policy violations, no malnourished children and dropouts; clean house - clean kitchen - clean alley.

Through the movements launched by the association, many results have been recognized by authorities at all levels and localities. For Catholics, the association has also actively implemented many activities, building tasks such as: Mobilizing "charitable women's clubs" (contributing to eliminating dilapidated houses, giving gifts to help poor families), Catholic women join hands to contribute to charitable activities... From there, helping disadvantaged families to improve their economy.
Strengthening solidarity and unity
In recent times, Yen Binh district has always paid attention to Catholics. The district has organized many activities such as: Meeting with local dignitaries and religious officials at the beginning of the year, organizing activities such as "Weekend with Catholics"; visiting and giving gifts to priests and encouraging Catholics on Easter and Christmas occasions... Thereby, helping to strengthen solidarity and consolidate the spirit of solidarity.
Participating in planting flowers and cleaning the environment with the Secretary of the Yen Binh District Party Committee, Ms. Tran Thi Phuc - Duc Tien Village, Yen Binh Commune excitedly shared: We are very happy to participate in planting flowers with the district leaders today. In particular, the District Party Committee Secretary visited and gave gifts on Easter 2023. In the past time, the district and commune leaders have always been interested in creating conditions for us to develop the economy, creating conditions for people to have new roads and new, big and beautiful bridges to travel on. We feel very happy and excited!

Participating in the "Weekend with parishioners" on the occasion of Easter 2023, Yen Binh District Party Secretary An Hoang Linh said: For parishioners, Yen Binh district always cares, encourages and hopes that dignitaries and officials will continue to actively propagate and mobilize parishioners to well implement the policies, guidelines, and laws of the Party and State; actively participate in building the great national unity bloc, solidarity between religions and non-religious people; actively work in production, develop the economy, protect the environment, live a "good life, good religion"; continue to work with local authorities to help people develop the economy, gradually improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
