According to media outlet Okezone, the Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) is planning to naturalize eight players to aim to pass the group stage of the 2023 Asian Cup.

The players on the list include Kevin Dicks (FC Copenhagen, Denmark), Ragnar Oratmangun (FC Groningen, Netherlands), Joey Pelupessy (FC Groningen, Netherlands), Thom Haye (SC Heerenveen, Netherlands), Jay Idze (Go Ahead Eagles, Netherlands), Jordy Wehrmann (ADO Den Haag, Netherlands), Mees Hilgers (Twente, Netherlands) and Emil Audero (Sampdoria, Italy).

Standing out on this list is goalkeeper Emil Audero, who plays for Serie A club Sampdoria.

This star is being targeted by Inter Milan in the 2023 summer transfer market.

Okezone said that some of the names mentioned above have repeatedly expressed their desire to wear the Indonesian national team jersey.

Currently, PSSI is contacting these players and carrying out the necessary procedures to bring them back in 2023.

Recently, the Indonesian team successfully naturalized two young stars, Ivar Jenner (FC Utrecht) and Rafael Struijk (ADO Den Haag).

Both players have been called up to play friendly matches against Palestine and Argentina during FIFA Days in June 2023.

The Indonesian team currently has many naturalized names, such as Elkan Baggott, Marc Klok and Sandy Walsh.

At the 2023 Asian Cup, coach Shin Tae-yong's team is in Group D with Vietnam, Japan and Iraq.
