Vietnam vs Myanmar lineup: Nguyen Xuan Son starts, Nguyen Filip is on the bench

Vietnam could still be eliminated if they lose to Myanmar by two goals or more and Indonesia wins against the Philippines. Therefore, coach Kim Sang-sik will focus all his efforts on the final match of the group stage. The Korean coach needs a win and has decided to give a chance to naturalized striker Nguyen Xuan Son.

The Vietnamese team will still play with the familiar 3-4-2-1 formation in the past matches. In goal, coach Kim Sang-sik surprised everyone by leaving out Nguyen Filip even though he played well in the last 2 matches. Goalkeeper Dinh Trieu will start and affirm that he is competing fairly with his teammate. In front of Dinh Trieu is a trio of unfamiliar central defenders.

Pham Xuan Manh continues to be trusted to play right center back, Bui Tien Dung plays left center back and Nguyen Thanh Chung plays in the center of defense. The right back chosen in this match is Truong Tien Anh, not Van Thanh or Tan Tai. The opposite wing is where Nguyen Van Vi is stationed and responsible for supporting the attack.

The Vietnamese team played with the central midfielder pair Nguyen Quang Hai and Nguyen Hoang Duc.
