This event is held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (March 22, 1955 - March 22, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025), and the 105th anniversary of the birth of President Kaysone Phomvihane (December 13, 1920 - December 13, 2025).
