DNO - Within the framework of a working trip to the UK, on May 23, a delegation of Da Nang city led by Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh sent his best wishes to the Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK and Ireland Nguyen Hoang Long, thanking the Ambassador for supporting the delegation in introducing investment opportunities in Da Nang city; and at the same time, he said that the city is very interested in expanding opportunities to attract investment and develop business in the UK.
The city hopes that the Embassy will support Da Nang in introducing and promoting information to partners, corporations and business associations of the United Kingdom. Thereby, connecting investors and capable businesses to cooperate, invest and do business in the city in areas where the United Kingdom has strengths, especially in forming an international financial center in Da Nang city.
Ambassador Nguyen Hoang Long welcomed the visit and work of the Da Nang city delegation as well as expressed his interest and willingness to support and create more favorable conditions for both sides to jointly organize activities and events with good results in the coming time.
On the same day, the delegation had a working session at the Center for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE).

At the meeting, CFTE introduced the potentials and strengths in training human resources and developing the Fintech field, introduced a number of implemented projects related to Fintech, training international financial human resources in France, Hong Kong (China), and Abu Dhabi financial center.
CFTE also shared the prospects of financial operations in the digital age, the areas and skills related to financial technology that governments and businesses need to grasp to keep up with the growing trend.

Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh provided an overview of the socio-economic situation of Da Nang city, and the living, working and business environment in the city.
The city owns a dynamically developing innovative startup ecosystem, convenient international transportation, a system of 28 universities and colleges, and high-end resort and conference complexes... which are very favorable for attracting international resources to Da Nang in the coming time.
He also shared that the information technology sector is one of the pillars of development of Da Nang city in the coming time. Currently, the city has 3 concentrated information technology parks in operation and 7 information technology parks and software parks under construction.
At the same time, Da Nang is aiming to form an international financial center, one of the three main components of which is the Fintech financial technology center. To support this orientation, Da Nang city plans to dedicate most of the area in Software Park No. 2 to develop Fintech.
The two sides exchanged, discussed and agreed that in the coming time, Da Nang city and CFTE will promote the implementation of international financial human resource training programs in Da Nang city and cooperate in forming a Fintech center in Da Nang city.
This is a practical step to contribute towards building an international financial center in Da Nang in the coming time when the human factor is always very important in the current new context.
CFTE is an organization that provides educational platforms in the fields of Fintech to equip professionals with the skills they need to develop in the field of financial technology. CFTE has a network connecting more than 300 financial experts from companies such as Mastercard, UBS, Societe Generale, IBM, Starling Bank, Ripple, N26… with more than 100,000 alumni in Europe and Asia.
Over the past 5 years, CFTE has proven to be one of the leading learning platforms for Fintech worldwide.
This is a meaningful working session in the field of Fintech in particular and the field of science and technology in Da Nang city and the Central region in general, paving the way for training high-quality human resources in many fields in the financial industry such as artificial intelligence, application programming interface (API), encryption, blockchain and RegTech... in line with the policy of Resolution No. 52-NQ/TW of the Politburo on proactively participating in the fourth industrial revolution and the Government's policy in building an international financial center in Da Nang city.
