Da Nang City People's Council passed 23 important Resolutions at the 22nd Session (Special Session)

Immediately after the Session, the City People's Council requested the City People's Committee to direct and effectively implement the resolutions passed at the Session to put them into practice soon. This was the directive speech of Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang, when chairing the 22nd Session (Special Session) of the 10th term Da Nang City People's Council, 2021-2026 term, this morning (February 20). Co-chairing was Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Tran Phuoc Son. Attending the Session were Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City Nguyen Van Quang; Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the City Party agencies Nguyen Dinh Vinh; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh.

The meeting heard reports on 29 documents in various fields of the City People's Committee. Through the review reports of the City People's Council Committees, the City People's Council delegates contributed many opinions to the contents presented at the meeting. With a high spirit of unity, the meeting discussed and voted to pass 23 resolutions and gave opinions on other important contents, with a high consensus rate. Including: Adjusting socio-economic development targets in Resolution No. 80; Expenditure levels for activities celebrating major holidays in 2025; Approving budget estimates and supplementing budget estimates for performing tasks for agencies, units and People's Committees of districts and towns (phase 1); Regulations on support policies for cadres, civil servants and public employees who retire before the age, or quit their jobs due to restructuring of the organization and personnel in the city. Resolution to cancel the investment policy of the 1,000-ton/day solid waste treatment plant project at the Da Nang City Solid Waste Treatment Complex under the PPP form proposed by the investor; Exemption of entrance fees to Ngu Hanh Son Scenic Area and museums in the city; Policy to support 100% of the family health insurance premium for people aged 60 to under 75, belonging to households with an average living standard according to city standards in the city.

The meeting dismissed and elected members of the City People's Committee, elected additional Vice Chairman of the City People's Council, term X, 2021-2026 according to regulations. Accordingly, the City People's Council unanimously elected Mr. Doan Ngoc Hung Anh, Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department (former) to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Council for the term 2021-2026 and voted to approve the resolution to establish new Departments.

Concluding the Session, Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang emphasized that the 22nd Session of the City People's Council, term X, 2021-2026, has ensured the contents and requirements set out; requested the City People's Committee to direct and organize the effective implementation of the Resolutions passed at the Session to soon put them into practice.

On the occasion of this session, the Chairman of the City People's Council requested all levels and sectors to, with a determined and urgent spirit, carry out tasks according to the work program to ensure quality, progress, and requirements, and make achievements to celebrate the major holidays of Da Nang.
