On January 10, the Investigation Police Agency of Tra Vinh City Police (Tra Vinh Province) said that the authorities are consolidating the case file to handle the group of students involved in the gang assault, causing a 10th grade male student to become unconscious and have to be hospitalized for emergency treatment.
The investigation agency invited the group of students who assaulted their classmate to come to work.
The police agency determined that the group of students involved in the gang assault included 18 students, aged between 15 and 18 years old.
According to initial information, on January 9, due to a conflict, Ba In Twoo Ni and Nguyen Hoang Phuc Khang sought to beat Tran Quoc Khanh (16 years old, residing in Nguyet Hoa commune, Chau Thanh), a 10th grade student at Tra Vinh City High School.
Before that, both of them were beaten by Khanh's group of friends and were stopped by everyone. Therefore, after school, Ni and Khang arranged to fight again with Khanh's group (in Ward 9, Tra Vinh City).
A group of students were involved in an assault that sent a male student to the hospital.
After the appointment, Ni and Khang's group called more friends to go with them. When they arrived at the meeting place, they saw Khanh and Ni and Khang's group rushed forward and continuously used their hands and helmets to beat Khanh until he was unconscious and was taken to Tra Vinh General Hospital for emergency treatment.
At the hospital, Khanh was diagnosed with a swollen left cheek, bleeding from the nose and mouth, and multiple soft tissue injuries.
Regarding the above incident, on the night of January 9, Tra Vinh City Police urgently verified, quickly clarified and summoned the group of students who fought to the police station for questioning.
At the investigation agency, 12 students admitted to participating in beating Khanh, causing injuries.
Currently, Tra Vinh City Police are continuing to investigate and consolidate the case file for processing in accordance with the law.
