Planning adjustments do not affect demand
According to the Dong Nai Department of Construction, the Prime Minister has just approved the partial adjustment of the general planning of the new urban area of Nhon Trach (Dong Nai) at the location of Phuoc An bridge connecting the two provinces of Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

The planning adjustment is to serve the Phuoc An bridge construction project connecting Nhon Trach district (Dong Nai) with Phu My town (Ba Ria - Vung Tau).
Previously, to ensure the safety corridor of Phuoc An bridge with Phuoc An port under construction, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province and the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province agreed to choose the option of moving Phuoc An bridge 150m upstream.
Mr. Nguyen Van Trinh, Director of the Traffic Project Management Board of Cai Mep - Thi Vai Port area, said that the two localities had previously agreed on the adjustment of the Phuoc An bridge project, consulted with relevant units and added it to the design... Therefore, moving Phuoc An bridge 150m upstream does not affect the project construction process.
The Phuoc An Bridge project connecting Nhon Trach district with Phu My town has a total investment of nearly 4,900 billion VND and is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2025.
To implement the project, the land acquisition area is 18.58 hectares, of which Ba Ria - Vung Tau province is 6.87 hectares and Dong Nai province is 11.722 hectares. However, up to now, there are still problems with the land clearance on the Nhon Trach and Dong Nai banks, leading to many packages not being able to be implemented. Therefore, the functional departments of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province are coordinating with Dong Nai to soon complete the land clearance work, ensuring the project's progress.
It is known that Phuoc An Bridge has a total length of about 4,378.34m. The bridge is 3,514m long, the approach road on the route is 247m, the approach road connecting to the road down to Phuoc An port is about 617.34m long. The total preliminary investment is about 4,877 billion VND.
Phuoc An Bridge is under construction and waiting for land clearance.
This project is divided into 5 main packages including: package 38 - construction and installation of the approach bridge from the beginning of the route to the T36-T37 approach pier (within Ba Ria - Vung Tau province); package 39 - construction and installation of the main bridge from pier T37 to pier T40 (including waterway traffic control); package 40 - construction and installation of the approach bridge from pier T40-T41 to pier T62; package 41 - construction and installation of the approach bridge from pier T62 to pier M75 and the approach road; package 42 - construction and installation of asphalt concrete and global lighting items.
Many packages have been deployed and are ensuring the set progress.
In which, package 38 has so far deployed many construction phases from the beginning of the route to pier T36. Completed the service road, construction site, electricity and water supply system, casting and driving 469/469 piles. Casted 46/370 SuperT beams and 348/405 D1200 bored piles. Contractors are constructing the abutment base, pier M0, T1~T3, T21~T24 and T33. Total output value reached: 366.17 billion VND.
Similarly, package 39 has completed the service road and the announcement of the regulation to ensure maritime safety. Completed the bored pile items of 72/72 D2000 piles of the main pier (T38, T39) and the bottom slabs of 78/78 pier bases as well as the installation of the bottom slabs for the pier bases. The output to date has reached 338.75 billion VND.
Other packages are still stuck with land acquisition and cannot be implemented yet. When land is available, these packages will be started.
Phuoc An Bridge is a major project of the two provinces of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Dong Nai. When put into operation, the bridge will create a new direction, helping people to travel more conveniently. In particular, it will shorten the time for vehicles to enter and exit the port, and transport goods from the Western provinces to Ba Ria - Vung Tau more quickly.
