Looking for a new champion to replace Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat

Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat is the 60kg champion at the LION Championship 2022. However, he will not compete in the 2023 tournament. This time, the title match is between Bui Truong Sinh and Robson De Oliveira Soares.

Bui Truong Sinh got the 3rd place after the Knockout victory over Le Van Tuan (LC05). Previously, in the LION Championship 2022 season, this 1998-born boxer reached the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, the Brazilian boxer defeated Phan Huy Hoang to reach the 1st place. Soares is holding a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

This match is part of the LION Championship 11 (LC11) event taking place on December 9, 2023. There are four other notable title matches.

In the 65kg class, Nghiem Van Y will compete with Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Felipe Ventzki Negochadle to defend the championship belt won last year.

Negochadle has had 3 consecutive victories against Nguyen Phuong Nam (LC07), Nguyen Nguyen Chuong (LC09) and Nguyen Tien Long (LC10) to participate in the upcoming title match.

20-year-old Dao ethnic boxer Ban Van Hoang will face 40-year-old Vietnamese-Polish boxer Kamil Michal Nguyen Van in the 70kg weight class. This is Kamil's third chance to get his hands on the championship belt. In the previous two times, he lost to Tran Quang Loc in the 2022 season final and at the LION Championship 06 event.

2019 World Sanda Silver Medalist Pham Cong Minh and National Sanda Grandmaster Tran Quoc Toan will compete for the 84kg title. The two boxers won 3 and 2 TKO victories respectively before entering the title match.

The only women's title match in the 56kg category was between Duong Thi Thanh Binh and Bianka Balajti (Hungary). Thanh Binh is the reigning champion, while Balajti showed excellent form when she defeated Nguyen Thi Huong (LC04), Le Nguyen Khanh Linh (LC06), and Nguyen Thi Uyen Nhi (LC08).

LION Championship 11 will be the final event of 2023 of the Vietnam Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship. LION Championship 11 will be held at Quan Ngua Sports Complex, Hanoi with 14 matches divided equally into two time slots: afternoon from 14:00, evening from 20:00.
