Den Vau and Double2T scored a double victory

While Den Vau’s “Cooking for You” won MV of the Year, “A Loi” won Song of the Year. In addition, each rapper won an individual victory for his contributions.

The 18th Dedication Awards ceremony took place on the evening of March 27 at the Hanoi Opera House. The event was organized by the Sports and Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency) in collaboration with many units. 15 Dedication trophies were awarded, equivalent to 15 recognitions and gratitudes to inspirational artists and athletes.

At this year's awards, two male rappers Den Vau and Double2T won a well-deserved double of Dedication Awards.

Den Vau received a “hattrick” of nominations and won two categories: Music video of the year with “Nầu cơm cho em” and Male singer of the year. Meanwhile, Double2T won New artist of the year and song of the year with “À Lỗi.”

With “Cooking for You,” Den Vau has spread positive energy and raised more than 400 million VND. All the money was sent to children in the highlands.

The rapper from Quang Ninh received many compliments for his meaningful project. He admitted that his efforts were still too small compared to the contributions and dedication of previous generations.

“Den and the crew argued a lot about how to express the image, then decided to emphasize the most truthfulness and sincerity,” Den Vau shared on the Dedication Award stage. He hopes his music video will be a tool to evoke love in each viewer, and at the same time hopes that the children in the highlands will continue to receive more attention.

With Double2T (real name Bui Xuan Truong), the song "A Loi" has proven: It is thanks to creativity and explosive energy that the ethnic minority material shines. Establishing the style of "Quality Mountain People" as the name of one of his songs, Double2T inspires to live proudly, to live as oneself.

This is the first time Double2T has been nominated. With two Dedication Cups, he continues to challenge himself with new humanitarian music projects.

Along with the wave of young music, the program “Vietnamese Birds” pays tribute to the late musician Van Cao, with musician Do Bao winning the Impressive Dedication Award. Through the program, he wants to convey the message of solidarity of all the children of Vietnam.

This is the second year that the Dedication Awards are divided into two systems for Music and Sports. The four categories include Sports Face of the Year, Young Sports Face, Sports Achievement of the Year and Dedication Aspiration.

A series of outstanding individuals in fields such as swimming, sepak takraw, and football were honored, notably swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang. He is considered one of the best swimmers in Vietnam and in the region.

Coming up in June, he will participate in the Olympics for the second time (2024 Olympics in Paris) with new challenges, new opportunities to show his aspiration to contribute to the country's sports.

The award was initiated in 2005. The criteria of the Devotion Music Award are based on two factors: public opinion and discovery, which serve as the main basis for nomination and voting. Therefore, creative discoveries may be widely known to the public (public opinion factor) or may not be widely known to the public, but they are truly practical creative discoveries (discovery factor).

Head of the Organizing Committee – Journalist Le Xuan Thanh (Editor-in-Chief of Sports and Culture Newspaper) affirmed that the faces honored here are not only honored by Sports and Culture Newspaper. Each nomination and victory has been recognized and voted for by not only experts but also audiences nationwide. All are converted into points by a strict award mechanism.

The performances of big names like Tung Duong, young and potential faces like Double2T, Van Mai Huong or Den Vau... stirred up the audience. Each song is like a message, conveying a reminder of the spirit of living a life of dedication, living responsibly for oneself and the community, together creating a better society./.
