Dr. Cu Van Trung said that national digital transformation helps improve people's knowledge, skills and awareness.

Engage in digital transformation application

In 2023, the theme of National Digital Transformation Day (October 10) is "Creating and exploiting digital data to create value".

It can be said that, in terms of opportunities, digital transformation helps the country take advantage of advanced technologies such as big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, internet of things... to help improve the quality and efficiency of access to public services, enhance communication and cooperation between state agencies and people.

National digital transformation also helps create new products, services and economic models, suitable for the needs and trends of the global market; helps improve the knowledge, skills and awareness of people in a learning society.

However, besides opportunities, there are also many challenges, because national digital transformation requires major changes in awareness, behavior and culture of individuals and organizations in the application of digital technology, network security, information security and privacy protection. This process also faces fierce competition from other countries in the region and the world.

Indeed, facing the economic challenge, every young person must commit to applying digital transformation to understand and optimize their work. Young people must update, learn and apply information technology right now. Because if not quickly, in just a few years, under the impact of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution as well as the openness of our country's mechanisms and policies, young people will fall into an undeservedly backward state. Even many purely simple jobs such as automatic answering, consulting, clerical work, etc. are replaced by technology.

"To become a responsible digital citizen, young people must always be ready to learn, apply digital technology responsibly and proactively 'transform'."

The current generation of young people and children are learning programming and information technology from a very early age. These are the forces that will “fill” positions and jobs in the future. It can be said that if today’s young people are subjective and lack the initiative to learn the necessary skills, the risk of falling behind is obvious.

ChatGPT makes people who work in communications and write content change their way of working and thinking about their jobs. The cloud effect, integrating many data, applications and features, helps gardeners and villas save on labor, security, watering plants, and lighting. Teaching now requires no classrooms in many places because learning is done via Zoom, online learning, and many people in business and trade do not have to rent large, spacious premises...

Currently, in the context of facing the risk of recession of the global economy, we have not seen the great developments and impacts of digital technology. However, in the near future, the above phenomena will appear more and more in life. Therefore, young people should not hesitate to innovate, be active, study and update knowledge continuously.

Right here in Hanoi, near the gate of Rang Dong Light Bulb and Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company - a business considered a model in the digital transformation process - there is a slogan hanging "Society is constantly progressing, whoever does not learn is falling behind".

I think that the leaders of this company have a deep understanding of the development of the 4.0 technology era and they want their employees to update technology and learn continuously. Therefore, a very easy-to-understand and simple slogan like that was hung up.

Young people must always be in a learning position.

In the current digital transformation, young people are increasingly exposed to social networks. The pitfalls and risks in cyberspace are no different from real life. In fact, many young people are led and "pumped" with the recklessness of virtual technology. High-tech crimes and non-traditional security challenge young people to be extremely vigilant. Because nothing is faster than technology, nothing is more attractive than making money leisurely from technology.

With my practical experience in the profession, I have witnessed many times the success of some young people, but I am also heartbroken by their silly mistakes when using technology applications. Therefore, with the openness of the current economy, it is necessary to pay close attention to the "openness" in the business of young people. They must be truly progressive, understand the provisions of the law to work firmly and sustainably.

It can be said that, as a parent, I, like many others, am truly concerned and worried about the negative side of digital technology. To some extent, we still have to learn from our children about new technological knowledge of the 4.0 era. The traditional generation of parents does not fully understand the actions of their children, from studying, working to friendships, there are things beyond their reach. Therefore, warnings about the consequences of digital technology and implementing universal education and lifelong learning must be widely disseminated and promoted regularly and strongly in society.

We have many organizations, agencies, and unions established to care for and protect children. The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs has the Department of Child Welfare, the Department of Child Care and Protection, the 111 hotline, the National Hotline for Children, and the legal community also has the Association for the Protection of Children's Rights whose members are famous lawyers with high responsibility to society.

Currently, the authorities in our country are trying to coordinate with large technology corporations in the world such as Facebook, Youtube... to control and prevent bad news, toxic news, violent clips, child abuse, offensive or contrary to Vietnamese customs.

In general, recently, the functional agencies of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Information and Communications have done a very good job of controlling bad news, false news, sensitive clips...

In my opinion, in the coming time, we need to continue to be more strict, severely punishing nonsense channels, YouTubers who bait views, and exploit children to make money; sharing and promoting to boycott toxic clips and images that scare children; implementing dislike buttons or reporting bad news, reporting to block channels...

The solutions of the authorities are often very diverse, however, the management activities are carried out over a very large space, with not enough financial and human resources, so at this stage, the initiative of each family and citizen in protecting themselves and their children from negative factors in the virtual world is still the most timely and effective solution.

It can be said that to become a responsible digital citizen, young people must always be in a position to learn, apply digital responsibly and proactively "transform". There is no leap, no dreaminess, "there is no shortcut to becoming a human being", they need to maintain a stable rhythm in life.

Moreover, you need to strive to improve every day, be ready to face all challenges, and take advantage of the opportunities that technology brings. At the same time, be confident and timely to supplement what you feel is lacking to fully prepare yourself, ready to seize the future and opportunities.

2023 is called the National Digital Data Year, with the view that data is a valuable national resource. The theme of this year's Digital Transformation Day also aims to "Create and exploit digital data to create value".

By 2030, Vietnam will become a digital, stable and prosperous country, pioneering in testing new technologies and models; fundamentally and comprehensively innovating the management and operation activities of state management agencies, production and business activities of enterprises and the way people live and work.

Also in this October, the program "Digital Consumption Month" was launched with many incentives on digital products and services for people.
