According to the report of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, in recent times, the development of social housing in the province has always received close attention and direction from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee, and there has been close coordination between all levels, sectors, organizations, and Party Committees of districts, towns, and cities in directing and organizing implementation.

In 2024, the province received mobilized and supported resources to support, upgrade and repair 143 houses for people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution, with a budget of 10.3 billion VND. Housing support for poor and near-poor households in poor districts of Dien Bien province under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025 continued to receive attention, with the result in 2024 of supporting housing for over 1,600 households, with a total implementation capital of over 82.7 billion VND.

In addition, the development of social housing for civil servants, public employees; households and individuals whose land is subject to land acquisition and whose houses and households in rural areas are frequently affected by natural disasters, climate change, etc., and many other subjects, has also been specifically implemented.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged and commended the achievements in developing social housing and implementing social housing policies for policy beneficiaries. At the same time, he requested that units and localities continue to focus on researching and proposing solutions to effectively implement programs and projects related to housing support for people with revolutionary contributions; people in poor households, near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries in the area.

Promote the sense of responsibility of Party committees, authorities, and political systems from the provincial to grassroots levels. Innovate methods and approaches in the direction of diversifying resources; assign tasks to local agencies and units to directly preside over their projects; promote the spirit of self-reliance of localities to achieve the goal of no more dilapidated houses in the province by the end of 2025.
