For Newton students in particular and excellent students of Hanoi in general, the above 5 names are no longer strange because previously, all 5 students had achieved many outstanding achievements in domestic and international competitions and exams.

At the 18th Hung Vuong Summer Camp held in early August 2024 with the participation of nearly 1,200 students from 24 high schools (including 19 specialized schools), Newton School excellently won 18 medals with 5 Gold medals, 10 Silver medals, and 3 Bronze medals. Students Ngo Quy Duong, Nguyen Phuc Nguyen, and Ha Dang An all won Gold medals in Mathematics; student Ngo Duc Minh Dang won Silver medal in Mathematics and student Hoang Pham Minh Khanh won Silver medal in Physics.

Previously, at the XV contest for excellent students of specialized high schools in the Coastal and Northern Delta regions with the participation of 41 specialized high schools, Newton students, although not a specialized school, won 2 Gold medals, 2 Silver medals, 4 Bronze medals and 8 Encouragement prizes. Notably, the list of award-winning students included the 5 students mentioned above.

In the 10th grade entrance exam, these 5 students were outstanding individuals with outstanding achievements when they were all admitted directly, won the top prize or passed 3-4 specialized wishes at the same time to many famous specialized schools. Specifically: Ha Dang An passed the specialized math exam at the following schools: Natural Science Specialized High School, Pedagogical Specialized High School, Hanoi - Amsterdam Specialized High School.

Notably, in 2023, Hoang Pham Minh Khanh made history for Newton School as the first student of the school as well as the private school system to be selected for the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) and achieved the highest achievement of the Vietnamese student delegation at this competition with a Silver Medal (5 students from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted all won Bronze Medals).

Joy continues

The fact that for the first time, students participated in the competition and 5 students were selected to the national excellent student competition team (math and physics) is a memorable milestone; at the same time, it creates a good impression on the entire education sector of the capital when a private school has many excellent students, bearing the characteristics of a specialized international school.

Among the 20 members of the Hanoi team participating in the national math competition, there are 4 students from Newton School.

For Newton School, joy follows joy as the school continuously has students representing millions of students in the capital competing in international intellectual playgrounds directly organized by the Department of Education and Training to select and form teams, such as the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) and the International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO).

In early October 2024, Newton School was proud to have 9 students participating in the International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO), all 9 of whom won medals, including 4 Gold medals, 4 Silver medals, 1 Bronze medal with 1 student achieving “Best In Theory” in science (best in theory exam). This is the 2nd year Newton School has led the achievements compared to other schools in Vietnam in this exam.

At the 2024 International Junior Mathematics Olympiad held in India (InIMC), Hanoi had 15 students winning medals, including 3 Gold medals, 2 of which belonged to Newton students. With a score of 140/150, Nguyen Phong Chau, class 7G0 became the student with the highest score at the entire Key Stage 2 level, surpassing the US and Chinese teams.

Most recently, at the district-level excellent student competition in cultural subjects for grade 9, with 9/9 subjects, the total number of awards that Newton students achieved was 50, continuing to rank first in the entire Bac Tu Liem district. Most of these students will participate in the city-level excellent student competition and will certainly affirm the school's mark.

Sharing about the outstanding results of the school's students, the representative of Newton School's leadership was excited to consider them as precious gifts, demonstrating the efforts of the students and teachers; at the same time, thanked the leaders of the Department of Education and Training for many innovations in the way of selecting the team; creating opportunities for the best students from high schools in the city to participate in the competition. In the future, the school will continue to maintain and focus on nurturing excellent students so that the school's achievements will continue to shine.

At the launching ceremony of the Hanoi student team participating in the national excellent student competition for the 2024-2025 school year, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong especially praised Newton School for having the most students entering the national competition team among private schools; including Ha Dang An, a student of class 10G0.

Notably, in the delegation of Hanoi students representing Vietnamese students in international competitions, there were many students from Newton School and they all won high prizes.
