"Skillful mass mobilization" in ethnic minority areas

As a province with a large population of ethnic minorities and religious people, in recent years, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has strengthened its direction in implementing mass mobilization, ethnic and religious work in a comprehensive manner, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive Party and political system.

Strengthening the direction of mass mobilization work

Binh Thuan has 34 ethnic minorities with 25,600 households, accounting for 8.4% of the province's population; there are 8 active religious organizations with over 427,000 followers, accounting for 34.75% of the province's population... Because it is a province with a large number of ethnic minorities and religious people, in recent years, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has strengthened the direction of implementing mass mobilization work, ethnic and religious work in a comprehensive manner. Specifically, it has directed Party committees and Party organizations at all levels to strengthen Party building work, building the political system in ethnic minority and religious areas. At the same time, leaders and direction of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations regularly monitor and grasp the thoughts and aspirations of people in ethnic minority and religious areas, promptly reflect and propose to Party committees and authorities for resolution. Thanks to that, from 2020 to now, Binh Thuan has resolved 54 cases related to the lives of people in ethnic and religious areas.

In addition, the mass mobilization system at all levels regularly pays attention to innovating propaganda content and methods suitable for each target group according to the motto "Propaganda content is short, concise, easy to read, easy to understand". In 2022 alone, mass organizations at all levels coordinated to carry out nearly 2,000 propaganda, dissemination, and legal education campaigns for nearly 84,000 people in ethnic minority and religious areas; organized more than 800 consultation and legal aid sessions for people; coordinated to carry out 28 monitoring sessions, 43 dialogue conferences between heads of Party committees and authorities with people in communes in ethnic minority areas...

Regarding the mass mobilization work in ethnic minority areas, the provincial armed forces have paid attention to implementing. In particular, the models of "Self-defense, self-management", "Light of security", "Skilled mass mobilization in ethnic minority areas", "Armed forces strengthen solidarity with religion and ethnicity", "House of military-civilian affection" have been well implemented. In addition, Binh Thuan has been implementing well the policy of provincial and district-level agencies and units establishing twinned relationships with pure communes and mixed ethnic minority villages. Up to now, there have been 108 provincial and district-level agencies and armed forces establishing twinned relationships with 17 pure communes and 37 mixed ethnic minority villages.

Promote propaganda

According to Mr. Nguyen Linh Nhon - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, in the coming time, the Mass Mobilization Commission will continue to work with the armed forces to promote propaganda activities, mobilize people, especially people in remote areas, ethnic minority areas to understand the provisions of the law, comply with the Party's policies and the State's policies and laws. Focus on promoting propaganda on social networks, actively combating the use of social networks for propaganda, distortion, and incitement by hostile forces.

Along with that, maintain and synchronously implement solutions to coordinate with the armed forces in grasping the situation of the people, especially in ethnic minority and religious areas; do a good job of forecasting, detecting and advising on effective and timely handling of all acts of sabotage by bad elements. The Front and socio-political organizations at all levels regularly stay close to the grassroots and the people to coordinate in grasping the situation. Through that, propose to the Party Committee and the government to direct timely and effective resolution of difficult, urgent and complicated issues, not allowing hot spots to occur.

On the other hand, continue to strengthen the cohesion and coordination between the armed forces and the Front, socio-political organizations in participating in building a comprehensively strong political system, local armed forces, and grassroots. Mobilize people to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, the emulation movement "Skillful mass mobilization", the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".
