Nguyen An Khanh was born in 2005 in Trinec (Czech Republic) in a Vietnamese family. An Khanh's father is Nguyen Duc Hy (from Do Luong, Nghe An), his mother is Phan Thi Thanh Tan (from Hanoi). Hy and his wife have 4 children, of which An Khanh is the third child.
Like many other children of Nghe An, Nguyen Duc Hy is very passionate about football. And An Khanh also inherited this intense passion from his father. Since he was very young, the player born in 2005 followed his father and rarely missed any match of the local team Trinec FC.
An Khanh is the third child in a family of 4 siblings.
An Khanh started playing football at the age of 5, playing with friends in the afternoons after school. From then on, Khanh's talent quickly emerged. Seeing that, Mr. Hy took Khanh to apply for the Trinec FC training center and was accepted into the U.7 group. This is also where An Khanh's talent was nurtured and developed every day.
Nguyen An Khanh trained systematically at Trinec FC until he was 15 years old when he was recruited by Sigma Olomouc Club. At the new team, the talent of the Vietnamese-American midfielder continued to improve. He plays as a midfielder and an attacking midfielder. An Khanh possesses the typical qualities of a player from Nghe An: strength, enthusiasm and a fighting spirit that is always on fire. He is considered to have a modern playing style, full of technique but also has the directness of European football.
An Khanh has been passionate about football since he was a child. He often caught the attention of scouts and was selected to play for the Czech Republic youth teams.
Khanh's technique and football thinking are also highly appreciated. In addition to contributing to the overall gameplay and supporting teammates, Khanh is also very sensitive in creating or scoring goals himself. In the 2021 - 2022 season, the Vietnamese-origin player had 10 goals and many beautiful assists to help U.17 Sigma Olomouc finish in 2nd place on the rankings. The midfielder himself is also in the top 10 best scorers of the tournament.
In the 2022 - 2023 season, An Khanh was promoted to play for the U.19 Sigma Olomouc team and many times appeared in the club's B team to compete in the Czech Republic's first division. Up to this point, An Khanh has scored 8 goals and had 20 assists for his teammates. Since then, An Khanh's ability has been quickly discovered by scouts of the Czech Football Federation. Not long ago, he was called up to play for the U.18 Czech Republic team.
An Khanh (fourth from right, sitting row) is 1.75 m tall and plays as a midfielder or attacking midfielder.
During the training session starting from June 5, U.23 Vietnam will have 2 friendly matches with 2 strong teams in V-League, Hanoi Police Club and Hai Phong Club. This is a good opportunity for overseas Vietnamese midfielder Nguyen An Khanh to demonstrate his ability and win over coach Troussier.
