On June 10, Can Tho City Radio and Television Station coordinated with Can Tho Football Federation and Linh Gia Advertising Media Company Limited to organize the first 7-a-side football tournament for the Can Tho Television Cup in 2023.

The tournament brings together 12 teams, including 6 teams from Can Tho City (SS.FC, Phong Vu Construction Materials, Western Fairy Cosmetics, ADS, MT Real Estate, Honey House Hotel) and 6 guest teams (Petro Ly Tan Tai Kien Giang, HBL Long Xuyen, Up-Capeco Sa Dec, Anh Em Vinh Long, Organic HCMC and Can Tho University team)
The tournament brings together 12 participating teams.
Mr. Tang Quang Anh, Director of Can Tho City Radio and Television Station, said that the tournament aims to create a playground for amateur and professional players to compete, as well as create conditions for the audience to enjoy beautiful football on the weekend. Through the matches, the Organizing Committee wants to maintain the unique appeal of amateur football, while contributing to making amateur football more and more professional.
12 teams are divided into 3 groups (4 teams each) and compete in a round robin to determine rankings. The two teams with the best results in each group and the two third-placed teams with the best results will advance to the quarter-finals. The teams will compete for the championship with a prize of 30 million VND. Second, third and style prizes will be awarded 20 million VND, 10 million VND and 5 million VND respectively.
The tournament takes place from June 10 to June 25 at the Can Tho City Sports Center football field.
The 7-a-side football tournament for the Can Tho Television Cup takes place from June 10 to 25 at the Can Tho City Sports Center. The opening, semi-final, final and closing matches, as well as the award ceremony, will be broadcast live on TH-TP-CT channel. The remaining matches will be livestreamed on the Can Tho Television Fanpage and the Phui Plus Football Community Fanpage.
