Businessman Do Quang Hien was awarded a commemorative medal for his contributions to the development of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, on May 11.
This activity is part of the 2023 Cooperation Plan Implementation Conference of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Speaking at the event, Prof. Dr. Le Quan - Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi expressed the university's appreciation for the support and companionship of generations of alumni, and considered this an important part of the journey towards the goal of entering the Top 500 universities in the world.
The Director of Hanoi National University commented that businessman Do Quang Hien has not only contributed to the country's socio-economic development, but also made contributions in the fields of science, education, and health, and is a successful alumnus who always looks back to his old school.

At the ceremony, the Chairman of the T&T Group Strategy Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SHB Bank expressed his gratitude to his old school and teachers who helped him gain a foundation of synthetic thinking, basic knowledge and necessary skills, especially in business administration.
"This medal not only shows the recognition of Hanoi National University but also motivates me to continue contributing to the socio-economic development of the country in general and T&T Group and SHB Bank in particular," Mr. Hien expressed.

Businessman Do Quang Hien is a former student of K24, majoring in Physics. On June 30, 2022, at the first meeting of the Executive Board of the Hanoi National University Alumni Entrepreneurs Club, he was elected as Chairman. The 28 members of the Executive Board are all former students and businessmen doing business in the economic field.
In recent times, Mr. Hien and his businesses have implemented many cooperation programs, supporting and sponsoring the activities of Hanoi National University, and generations of students and postgraduates of the school. Specifically, T&T Group and Hanoi National University have signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement and specific cooperation in many fields; cooperating to build and develop a hospital system according to a high-quality medical model, meeting international standards in Vietnam. Or SHB Bank and Hanoi National University have cooperated to implement educational projects to improve the quality of human resources, develop the SHB - VNU Corebanking Practice Center, build a high-quality technology - finance - banking human resource training center in Hoa Lac...
In addition, Hanoi National University and T&T Group have also established a Young Talent Development Fund. Every year, T&T Group provides funding to award scholarships to students, undergraduates, and postgraduates. Initially, the group has sponsored 5 billion VND for the Young Talent Incubation Fund for graduate students and postdoctoral interns with excellent research capacity.

Mr. Do Quang Hien, T&T Group and SHB Bank have sponsored 5 billion VND for the operating fund of the alumni business club, 5 billion VND for the Young Talent Incubation Fund, 5 billion VND to develop VNU Holdings, donated water filtration systems to student dormitories, sponsored trees in Hoa Lac, co-sponsored the 2022 Investment Promotion Conference and many other programs.
In the coming time, many cooperation activities between Hanoi National University and T&T Group, SHB Bank are expected to be implemented such as: Center for research and training in banking and financial technology, "Heritage Road" of Hanoi National University, project to develop value chain for medicinal plants in Thai Binh...

Currently, in addition to his role as Chairman of the T&T Group Strategy Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SHB Bank, businessman Do Quang Hien also holds the positions of Chairman of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (Hanoisme); Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (Vinasme); Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Mr. Do Quang Hien has received the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals; Outstanding Citizen of the Capital in 2018 and the 2017 Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) presented by the non-governmental organization Enterprise Asia.
Previously, T&T Group also received the First Class Labor Medal twice; SHB Bank was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal twice along with many certificates of merit and emulation flags from the Government, Hanoi City, central and local ministries and branches.
