The March activities involved about 100 people from 16 ethnic groups (Nung, Tay, Dao, Mong, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Bahnar, Xe Dang, Gia Rai, Co Tu, Raglai, E De, Khmer) from localities across the country and artists and artisans from the X'Tieng ethnic group from Binh Phuoc province and the Thai ethnic group from Son La province.
The highlight activities are the cultural activities of Thai ethnic culture, Son La province with "Ban flower festival". Thai ethnic people will organize a reenactment of the Xen Ban (Xen Muong) ceremony.
In March, when the Ban flowers bloom, the bitter bamboo shoots grow, and the weather is warm, the Thai people temporarily put aside their farming work, immerse themselves in the spring sky, and organize the "Xen Ban" festival to thank their ancestors, river gods, mountain gods, and land gods... who have helped people living on earth maintain their lives, unite the nation, and build an increasingly prosperous homeland.
The folk song and dance exchange program “Singing in the Ban season” with a comprehensive art program of Thai ethnic artists through musical activities, performances telling the story of Ban flowers, the beauty of the Northwest mountains and forests when the Ban flowers bloom. Introducing cuisine from Ban flowers and the beauty of Ban flowers through the image of Thai girls
Along with that is the cultural activity "Colors of traditional culture of the X'Tieng ethnic group from Binh Phuoc province".
The X'Tieng ethnic people will reenact the Crac Bar mey Festival (New Rice Celebration). The New Rice Offering Ceremony is held once a year and is highly regarded by the people.
The X'Tieng people will also perform a folk song and dance program with the theme: "Highland drunkenness"; Introduce and demonstrate traditional silver costumes and jewelry of the X'Tieng people with the theme: "Fragrance and color of basalt"; Re-enact, demonstrate and teach the traditional weaving techniques of the X'Tieng people and introduce a culinary space, display local products of the X'Tieng people with unique dishes and drinks such as Can wine, bamboo rice. Especially, introduce traditional delicacies of the X'Tieng people such as Pieng plo cake, Pieng liet cake, dried deer, smoked squirrel pig, smoked buffalo, etc.
In addition, there are daily activities, weekend activities, spring festivals, homestay tourism programs, culinary experiences, folk games... to introduce the culture, customs and practices of the ethnic groups, along with experiential activities at the "Common House" of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups, contributing to enhancing exchanges between ethnic groups, attracting tourists to the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism./.
