Despite the encouraging results, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang also noted that the Vietnamese coffee industry is facing major challenges that must be overcome to maintain and develop in the coming time. Currently, Vietnamese coffee is still mainly exported in raw form, produced on a small scale, with uneven quality and limited deep processing technology.

"To sustainably develop the coffee industry, I propose that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and localities continue to promote the structure of the agricultural and coffee industries. Effectively replant coffee trees, produce large-scale, modern goods, associated with deep processing and consumption markets. Do a good job of planning, building growing areas, building sustainable coffee value chains, associated with cultural and tourism development..." - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang emphasized.
