According to the report of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Xuan district, the Committee for Mobilizing, Receiving and Distributing Voluntary Contributions has basically completed the payment of support to overcome the consequences of the fire in the mini apartment building at No. 37, Alley 29/70, Khuong Ha Street, Khuong Dinh Ward.
Over 117 billion VND in support has been given to 141 victims of the mini apartment fire in Thanh Xuan.
According to the report, the Steering Committee for receiving and distributing voluntary contributions to overcome the consequences in Khuong Dinh ward has received more than 132 billion VND and has made it public on the Thanh Xuan district's electronic information page for 30 days.
On November 5, the Campaign Committee issued Notice No. 10/TB-BVĐ to publicly announce the subjects and levels of support to overcome the consequences of the fire.
The payment of support money and assistance to overcome the consequences of the fire took place in 5 sessions (from November 5 to 7). By the end of November 7, the support money had been given to 141 people, including 138 victims and 3 orphans who are beneficiaries of the policy for children who lost their parents, with a total amount of 117 billion 423 million VND. The remaining 6 victims with a total amount of 5.8 billion VND, their relatives have not received the support money because the documents have not been completed.
According to the assessment of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Xuan district, the payment of support for victims of the fire in Khuong Dinh ward was an unexpected and unprecedented task.
However, with the participation of the entire district and ward political system, the direct direction of the district leaders and the close supervision of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, the payment of support to the victims was carried out carefully.
During the payment process, every day, functional units organize quick reports and summarize experiences to promptly handle arising situations.
In particular, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district has signed a service contract with the Bailiff Office to ensure the legality of payment records, ensuring that relatives of the deceased can receive funds conveniently, while still ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
Previously, on November 5, 2023, the Campaign Committee issued a Public Notice on the subjects and levels of support to overcome the consequences of the fire.
Accordingly, the total support for the second phase is 123.94 billion VND; the total support for the first and second phases is 130.12 billion VND.
The second support period includes additional support for 1 case after the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khuong Dinh ward supported the first period of 40 million VND.
In addition, support for people living in the building: 89.6 billion VND. Of which, support for living expenses to ensure stable life for the living, 88 people with the amount of 700 million VND/person, total 61.6 billion VND; support for worship for the deceased (support for relatives of the deceased to stand up to worship) for 56 people with the amount of 500 million VND/person, total 28 billion VND.
Support 37 injured victims with 15.1 billion VND. Of which, support for 3 injured people who must be treated in hospital for 3 to 7 days with 300 million VND/person, total 900 million VND; support for 33 injured people who must be treated in hospital for 7 days or more with 400 million VND/person, total 13.2 billion VND; support for 1 seriously injured person with 1 billion VND.
Support for children is 19.2 billion VND. Of which, support for a savings book for 1 orphaned child is 2 billion VND; support for a savings book for a child who has lost either parent: 4 children with 1 billion VND/child, total amount is 4 billion VND.
Support savings books for children under 16 years old (parents still alive) is 22 children, amount of 600 million VND/child, total amount of 13.2 billion VND.
Total support for phase 2 is 123.94 billion VND; total support for phase 1 and phase 2 is 130.12 billion VND.
The remaining amount is 2,221 billion VND based on Clause 7, Article 10 of Decree 93/2021. The Steering Committee agrees to handle arising issues, carry out environmental sanitation, and prevent and control infectious diseases in the area where the fire occurred according to regulations.
