DNO - On the morning of April 11, Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam Julien Guerrier and a delegation of Ambassadors from EU member countries visited and worked in Da Nang. Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong hosted the reception.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong highly appreciated the cooperation and support of EU countries in many fields with Da Nang in recent times.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee informed about the development orientations of Da Nang until 2030 with a vision to 2045 with the goal of Da Nang being the growth nucleus of the key economic region of Central Vietnam.
Currently, Da Nang is focusing on developing a number of key areas such as: semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence (AI), seaports, services, and tourism.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee expressed his hope that more EU enterprises would come to Da Nang to learn about the investment environment in the city's new fields. At the same time, he will increase support for Da Nang in training high-quality human resources specializing in semiconductor technology, tourism, and hotels.

It is known that in recent years, Da Nang has established friendly and cooperative relations with many localities in EU member countries. Among them are Wallonie-Bruxelles (Belgium), Boras city (Sweden), Salo city and Turku city (Finland), Timisoara city (Romania), Varna city (Bulgaria) and Kosice city (Slovakia). Many cooperation programs with the above localities have been effectively implemented.
EU Ambassador to Vietnam Julien Guerrier expressed his impression of Da Nang's economic and infrastructure development as well as its potential, advantages and policies to attract foreign investment in the city. At the same time, he informed about the relationship between the EU and Vietnam over the years.
According to the ambassador, Da Nang is a potential partner in the field of semiconductor technology for the EU. Currently, EU member countries are exploring investment opportunities in Da Nang to expand their investment markets.
Through that, the ambassador hopes that in the near future there will be effective cooperation programs with Da Nang in this field.

In addition to cooperation in the field of technology, the EU is interested in cooperation in the fields of education, training of high-quality human resources in the fields of high technology, tourism and hotels in Da Nang.
Ambassador Julien Guerrier pledged to continue supporting Vietnam in general and Da Nang city in particular, contributing to making Vietnam a prosperous and sustainable country.
