Da Nang connects direct flights to Kazakhstan

The opening of the Almaty - Da Nang flight route marks an important milestone in connecting Da Nang tourism with the Kazakhstan market in particular and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in general, contributing to attracting tourists from this potential market to the city.

According to the plan, travel agencies will operate flights from Kazakhstan to Da Nang with a frequency of 4 flights per week, from April to October 2025. Specifically, from Almaty to Da Nang there will be 2 flights per week (Tuesday and Friday); from Astana to Da Nang there will be 2 flights per week (Wednesday and Saturday).

Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh - Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism said that in 2025, the city will implement 3 breakthroughs to promote Da Nang tourism development, including: tourism products, flight market and service quality.

At the same time, continue to expand the flight market and stimulate tourism; exploit the markets of tourists from China, Australia, the Middle East, India and Southeast Asia; attract the segment of tourists with cultural experiences and implement stimulus programs to maintain the effectiveness of international flights.

CIS has 9 member countries including: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, population of more than 245 million people, total GDP of nearly 2,600 billion USD (2024).

The CIS region is considered a potential market, especially the three countries of Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, which have a tradition of long-term vacation tourism (10-15 days), high spending and a preference for tropical climate.
