According to Ms. Lan, the success in mobilizing and synthesizing resources and the Covid-19 vaccination campaign associated with the Vaccine Fund are two key factors that have contributed significantly to controlling the Covid-19 pandemic, recovering and developing the country's socio-economy.
Regarding limitations, the Minister of Health said that the biggest reason is still the extremely complicated, unpredictable and unprecedented nature of the Covid-19 epidemic in the world and in the country.

Sharing the delegates' proposal to move Covid-19 from group A to group B, Minister Lan said that on May 5, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that the Covid-19 epidemic is no longer a public health emergency of global concern, but the pandemic is not over.
Implementing the Prime Minister's direction, referring to world experience and Vietnamese practice, the Ministry of Health has presided over and worked with ministries and branches to develop a dossier to change the disease classification from group A infectious diseases to group B infectious diseases.
"To prepare for the announcement of the end of the Covid-19 epidemic based on the provisions of the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, it is expected that this weekend, the Prime Minister will chair a meeting of the National Steering Committee on Covid-19 Prevention and Control, focusing on discussing related contents," said Ms. Lan.
The Ministry of Health has also developed a plan for sustainable control and management of the Covid-19 epidemic and proposed to include the Covid-19 vaccine in the regular immunization program as recommended by WHO.
Regarding solutions to remove difficulties in purchasing and ensuring the supply of equipment and biological products, the leader of the Ministry of Health said that the Government has directed the issuance of many documents and submitted to the National Assembly for promulgation of resolutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in purchasing and bidding for chemicals, biological products, supplies and medical equipment.
In addition, to fundamentally resolve the shortage of drugs and medical equipment, the Government has directed ministries and branches to submit to the National Assembly the Law on Bidding and the Law on Prices. The Ministry of Health is also completing documents to submit the Law on Pharmacy (amended), the Law on Health Insurance, the Law on Disease Prevention, etc.
Regarding the policy of primary health care and preventive medicine, the Minister of Health said that in 2018, WHO recognized Vietnam as one of the few countries with a complete primary health care network, widely organized down to the villages and hamlets, and is a model that many countries in the world are interested in and learning from. The primary health care network is the key to making Vietnam a bright spot in public health with higher health indicators than other countries at the same level of development.
To implement the direction of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, the Ministry of Health has completed the dossier on building a directive on developing grassroots healthcare in the new situation, how to serve the needs of strengthening and consolidating the grassroots healthcare system and preventive healthcare.
