The People's Committee of La Gi town has just issued a plan to organize a song and photo composition contest about "Land and People of La Gi". This contest aims to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of La Gi town (September 5, 2005 - September 5, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of La Gi town (April 23, 1975 - April 23, 2025) and welcome the La Gi town Party Congress for the term 2025 - 2030.
The contest is for professional and amateur musicians and photographers in and outside Binh Thuan province. Through songs and photographic works, it serves as a bridge to spread to the community and the public the source of emotions and excitement about the rapid changes in the economic - political, cultural - social fields of La Gi on a promising path, worthy of a town-level administrative unit with internal strength, consensus and high determination.
The entries include content praising the land and people of La Gi after 20 years of establishment, achieving values in content and art, highlighting the characteristics of the land and people of the town. Reflecting achievements in the fields of politics - economy, culture - society; introducing cultural identity, scenic spots, historical - cultural relics, economic and tourism works; traditional folk festival activities, praising the homeland, life, people, beauty and potential, strengths of the locality.
For songs, each author is allowed to submit 1-3 complete works, which are new compositions that have not been published, printed, posted on mass media and demo mixes recorded on electronic storage devices, video or audio files. For news and art photos, each author is allowed to submit 1-5 monochrome or black and white photos, digital photo files, printed in size 20cm x 25cm and taken in La Gi town, which have not been exhibited or won any awards in any competitions.
The deadline for receiving entries is January 31, 2025, at the address of the Center for Culture - Information - Sports of La Gi town, Binh Thuan province. Address: No. 571 Thong Nhat, Tan An ward, La Gi town.
The songs that win high prizes will be performed and popularized with the hope of becoming a “local song”. In addition, the photographic works that achieve technical and artistic values and win high prizes will be selected for permanent display at the Exhibition Room of the Center for Culture, Information and Sports as documents.
