Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company is striving to complete the 2024 business targets and tasks assigned by EVNGENCO1, creating a foundation for sustainable development in the following years.

According to Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company, in the 3 quarters of 2024, the Company actively implemented the tasks assigned by Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1), achieving effective electricity production.
Electricity output in the first 3 quarters of 2024 reached 10.2 billion kWh hours, reaching 66% of the annual plan and equal to 132% compared to the same period in 2023. Basic economic and technical indicators were achieved according to the plan assigned by the Corporation.
Currently, the Company has completed the minor repair of Unit S2 - Duyen Hai 1 Thermal Power Plant as planned and is carrying out the minor repair of Unit S3 - Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant Extension. Major repairs are continuing according to the set schedule.

In order to promptly update knowledge and skills to apply in practice in operation and maintenance, in the past 9 months, the Company has implemented a training plan that achieved 110% of the 2024 plan.
Regarding environmental protection, the Company has developed and implemented solutions to prevent and respond to dust emission incidents to ensure minimizing dust emission during the strong monsoon season, affecting the lives of people living around the factory.

For wastewater, dust and exhaust gas treatment facilities of factories, the output quality meets the standards QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT, QCVN 22:2009/BTNMT and QCVN 19:2009/BTNMT. The Company coordinates with relevant units to conduct environmental monitoring in the first, second and third quarters of 2024; wastewater and exhaust gas parameters monitored automatically, continuously and periodically at factories are all lower than current regulations.
In September 2024, the Company completed upgrading the automatic, continuous environmental monitoring system for the Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant expansion and was guided and provided with connection and data transmission addresses by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Tra Vinh. At the same time, the Company is upgrading the automatic, continuous environmental monitoring system for Duyen Hai 1 Thermal Power Plant and Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant.
In addition, the Company maintains the management and control of ordinary industrial solid waste and hazardous waste, classifying and storing them in accordance with regulations before transferring them to competent units for proper treatment.
In addition, the Company regularly invites government delegations and local people to visit, learn about the plant's technology and monitor environmental protection activities. In the first 9 months of 2024, the Company received 45 delegations with 1,184 visitors. Through on-site research, the delegations all gave good assessments of the plant's electricity production as well as environmental protection work according to State and local regulations.
In addition to production and business activities, the Company always performs well in social security work, taking care of policy beneficiaries, disadvantaged students in the area, supporting flood victims..., with a total amount of nearly 2.7 billion VND in the past 3 quarters.
Focus on management, improve production and business efficiency
In the last quarter of 2024, the Company will continue to focus on promoting and mobilizing all resources to implement and complete the goals and tasks set out in the plan for 2024, while ensuring that the units maintain stable and reliable operation and complete the assigned production and business targets in 2025.
Specifically, the company continues to strengthen solutions to ensure coal supply for stable operation of generators, closely follow the mobilization plan of the electricity market to have a suitable monthly coal ordering plan; regularly work with coal suppliers to grasp the situation, thereby being more proactive in coal supply.
In particular, focus on periodic/unscheduled inspection and supervision, monitoring, and ensuring coal technical specifications are in accordance with the signed contract.

The company focuses on solutions to improve operations, minimize subjective incidents and recurring incidents; continues to train to improve the qualifications, discipline and responsibility of the production and operation force; reviews, fully revises and supplements the operating procedures, repairs and maintenance of equipment in factories in accordance with actual conditions, and strengthens inspection work to promptly detect abnormal equipment.
On the other hand, the Company will focus on improving the quality of repair and overhaul work; handling existing defects, ensuring the reliability of generators; and ensuring the supply of materials and equipment for repairs.
The company also held a conference on technical management and operations to evaluate technical management and operations in 2024 and deploy solutions to ensure power generation in the last months of 2024 and the dry season months of 2025.
Since being put into operation, the Company's factories have produced about 105.3 billion kWh, of which Duyen Hai 1 Thermal Power Plant is 56.1 billion kWh; Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant is 38.9 billion kWh and Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant expansion is 10.2 billion kWh; corresponding to the average operating capacity of Duyen Hai 1 Thermal Power Plant is 517 MW, Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant is 478 MW, Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant expansion is 482 MW.
The indicators of availability coefficient, downtime rate due to incidents, downtime rate for maintenance and repair, and self-consumption electricity rate basically met the assigned plan.
The report also pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome in the coming time, specifically in ensuring operational indicators; handling and controlling equipment defects; ensuring human resources in repair and operation; bidding for the supply of equipment and materials; managing technical documents and records; and testing and calibration work.
The Company also aims to continue to resolutely and synchronously implement solutions to ensure fuel supply for production, especially during the peak months of the dry season in 2025; ensure that generators maintain stable and reliable operation and complete assigned production and business targets in 2025; improve equipment operation management, absolutely not allowing subjective incidents and recurring incidents to occur; improve the quality of repair work to overcome equipment problems affecting the reliability of generator operations; minimize the occurrence of incidents due to equipment errors; thoroughly implement solutions to reduce heat loss rates of factories; improve calibration testing and technical management role of the Technical Department.
