Communication work of the Industry and Trade sector will be upgraded

The Editor-in-Chief of Industry and Trade Newspaper hopes and believes that the cooperation program will contribute to raising the communication work of the Industry and Trade sector to a new level.

On the afternoon of January 7, 2025, in Hanoi, the Industry and Trade Newspaper coordinated with the Department of Industry, the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, the National Electricity System and Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO), and the Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Corporation (VEAM) to organize the signing ceremony of the Comprehensive Communication Cooperation Program for the period 2025-2030.

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and leaders of Departments, Offices, Institutes and enterprises under the Ministry of Industry and Trade attended the Program Signing Ceremony.

Also attending, on the side of Industry and Trade Newspaper, were the Board of Directors of Industry and Trade Newspaper along with reporters, editors, and employees working at the Newspaper.

In his opening remarks at the Comprehensive Media Signing Program between the Industry and Trade Newspaper and a number of functional units in the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Van Minh said that today, not only the Industry and Trade Newspaper but also the media agencies and the Departments, Offices, Institutes, enterprises and agencies under the Ministry were very happy to have Minister Nguyen Hong Dien attend, witness the Signing Ceremony, and meet and encourage officials and employees working in the media sector in the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

“This shows deep concern, is also a joy, pride and motivation, inspiring every journalist” - Editor-in-Chief of Cong Thuong Newspaper shared and added that this is the 4th time in 2024 that Minister Nguyen Hong Dien has visited and worked at the building at 655 Pham Van Dong. Before that, opening the signing program, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien and delegates watched a short video clip summarizing the picture of the Industry and Trade sector in 2024 and the communication activities of the Industry and Trade sector in general and of the Industry and Trade Newspaper in particular during the year.

According to Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Van Minh, through the short report, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien and the delegates have partly visualized the picture of communication work and cooperation between the Industry and Trade Newspaper, the media agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the units under the Ministry in the past time.

“ We believe that, in the resounding success of the Industry and Trade sector and for the Industry and Trade Newspaper and media agencies to have propaganda materials, the efforts to complete the tasks of the units under the Ministry are the strength, the origin, the power of propaganda” - Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Van Minh shared and added, as President Ho Chi Minh once summarized a very good sentence in the field of diplomacy but also true for communication work: “ Strength is like a gong, diplomacy is the sound. This is the 4th time in 2024 that Minister Nguyen Hong Dien visited and worked at building 655 Pham Van Dong.

However, according to Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Van Minh, propaganda work is a difficult and complicated task; currently taking place in the context of the country's economy facing many new challenges, the situation of merging apparatuses has significantly affected the press and media work. However, the media agencies of the Industry and Trade sector have initially been fortunate to have stability but also face many difficulties and challenges.

If the Industry and Trade sector in 2025 is the economic locomotive, exceeding all targets, many targets have double-digit growth and set records, then for the media agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the propaganda tasks have improved, reputation has increased, readership and viewership rankings have increased. But there is only one index that has decreased in common like all other press agencies, which is the index of press economy, revenue...

“As for the Industry and Trade Newspaper, revenue decreased by nearly 30%... An important reason is due to the cut in policy communication funding or the slow implementation of many policy communication projects, due to the stuck procedures and mechanisms, the “bottleneck of the bottlenecks” - comrade Nguyen Van Minh frankly shared.

At the same time, I believe that the press and media agencies of the industry are still stable and believe in a bright future, in the new concerns and policies of the Party and the State. And the important thing, as the Minister often reminds us of the saying of the world-famous American billionaire and investor Warren Buffett, is "if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together" .

Solutions to improve the communication work of the Ministry of Industry and Trade

In order to successfully complete its tasks in the communication work in the coming time, especially from 2025 with extremely heavy tasks in the era of development, on behalf of those working in communication and units under the Ministry, the Editor-in-Chief of the Industry and Trade Newspaper would like to promise the Minister a number of things to focus on:

Firstly, continue to thoroughly grasp the policies, resolutions and directions of the Party, the State and the Ministry's leaders and concretize them in propaganda work with the spirit of "continuing to promote new driving forces, renewing old growth driving forces" and old thinking about old issues. Determination and political responsibility must be raised to a new level in the spirit of " double the will, double the effort and double the results of completed work" .

Second, continue to expand the scope for cooperation, together complete the propaganda work well to create social consensus.
