According to France 24 news agency, on November 2, 355 citizens of the US, UK, France, Austria, Australia, and Japan left the Gaza Strip safely and arrived in Egypt through the Rafah border gate.

The development is part of a Qatar-brokered deal between Egypt, Hamas and Israel that allows for the evacuation of foreign passport holders and some seriously injured people from Gaza. Egypt has put hospitals in North Sinai on alert and prepared doctors and medical supplies to assist Palestinians.

On the same day, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller announced that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit Israel and Jordan on November 3 to meet with Israeli leaders.
