On behalf of the US Department of Commerce, Mr. Jason Wilson, Director of the Office of Commercial Services-Houston (US Department of Commerce) attended and congratulated the event. Mr. Jason commented that the organization of the activities of the TLSQ and CNTV Houston recently met the market needs and the reality for connecting and developing the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and the US; provided additional resources from the Department of Commerce and the Department of Energy on the direction and policies of the US Government for new energy projects, clean energy, gas industry and LNG liquefied gas... At the same time, discussed with speakers and businesses about questions related to: energy transition and anti-emissions policies, incentives for energy projects, current export control mechanisms of the US government, licensing for energy export enterprises, tax incentives, preferential loan programs for US enterprises, investment cooperation opportunities with Vietnam in the field of energy industry and new technology...
Representing Thaco Industries Group, Mr. Vo Trung Chinh - Deputy General Director attended the event with an impressive online presentation and video introducing Thaco Industrial Park in Quang Nam province with rich and diverse industries. Thaco also proposed to US State agencies and enterprises to find US partners to invest and cooperate in production in Vietnam to export commercial products to the US in many fields such as automobiles, trailers, electronics, high-tech agriculture, logistics....
The exchange of US enterprises on mechanical engineering, oil and gas, automation technology and logistics with Vietnamese partners (with the Ministry of Industry and Trade; with Dulong Industrial Parks, DeepC, Thaco Industries Group...) has attracted the attention of US partners, and is assessed by enterprises as having great potential for cooperation in 2025.

In particular, the event was attended and presented, discussing business opportunities of major partners, Excelerate Energy Corporation and the Equipment Supply Contract with Enerflex Energy Systems based in Texas (in September 2024, these Corporations signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement with Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation - PTSC, witnessed by General Secretary To Lam and the Minister of Industry and Trade and many Government officials. According to the Strategic Partnership Agreement between PTSC and Excelerate Energy, the two sides will conduct joint research to develop FSRU-Floating Storage and Regasification Unit projects in Vietnam; PTSC also signed a contract to supply gas booster compressors with Enerflex, one of the leading suppliers of energy solutions in the United States). The Corporations all expressed their desire to have a stronger approach to Vietnam to expand their scale of operations, supporting bilateral trade and investment promotion in the coming time; Increase contact with ministries, local authorities, enterprises and industrial parks in Vietnam to seek more opportunities.
Contributing to policy research and strategy development, Houston University sent Professor Celly Nikhil - Deputy Dean of the Department of International Business Strategy, and Professor Greg Bean - Director of the Energy Management Institute to present and discuss with partners on the topic "Energy transition and the world natural gas market, US trade experience in LNG".
At the end of the Conference, the Vietnam National Convention Center in Houston shared more information about Vietnam's Economic - Trade - Energy policies and new opportunities in key industries including Energy and Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing, so that US partners can find more opportunities for investment cooperation with Vietnam in the future.
