SJC Tower project has the most prime location in the center of Ho Chi Minh City with 4 frontages: Le Loi - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Le Thanh Ton - Nguyen Trung Truc. This project is invested by Saigon Kim Cuong Joint Stock Company (major shareholder is Van Thinh Phat Group) with an area of ​​nearly 4,000 m2.

Expected to be the third tallest tower in Ho Chi Minh City with 54 floors, but after nearly 2 decades, the SJC Tower project is still just an empty lot overgrown with weeds surrounded by corrugated iron fences.

The land was once used as a parking lot but is now fenced off. It is reported that some people have set up tents to store their belongings and vehicles.

This is a complex of shopping malls, offices, apartments, restaurants, etc. When put into use, this will be the largest gold, silver and gemstone trading place in the city.

The site is also home to the former International Trade Center (ITC), which suffered a devastating fire in 2002 that killed 60 people.

The 4 facades are surrounded by green corrugated iron, one side of the road is used for garbage trucks.

The project entrance gate is always closed on Nguyen Trung Truc street.

Located next to the SJC Tower project, Tax Trade Center (a building with more than 130 years of history) was demolished in 2016 to develop a 40-story complex and has also been abandoned for many years.

The project covers an area of ​​over 9,000 m2, managed by Saigon Trading Corporation (Satra).

According to the plan, Satra will build a new 40-storey building called Satra Tax Plaza. Initially, the building was expected to start construction in the first quarter of 2017 and be completed in 2020.

Accordingly, the 6 underground floors of the new building will connect to the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line. The base floors of the building will be built in steps, in the direction of preserving the original design of Tax Trade Center.

Previously, District 1 People's Committee had proposed that Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee use this land as a parking lot to reduce parking pressure for visitors to Nguyen Hue walking street, Bach Dang wharf park and Thu Thiem 2 bridge.
