In 2024, the digital transformation and administrative reform of the Provincial Police in general and the Immigration Management Department in particular will have many positive changes, meeting the satisfaction of people and businesses, contributing to accelerating the completion of Project 06 on developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation.

To achieve that result, from the beginning of 2024, the Immigration Department, Provincial Police proactively deployed many solutions, initiatives, models and set specific goals for each administrative reform content associated with the implementation of Project 06.
The unit proposes to purchase and ensure adequate equipment and transmission lines to effectively exploit, connect and apply online public services in the field of entry and exit. At the same time, assign and arrange officers and soldiers to work overtime, work on holidays and Tet holidays, ensuring that all records are processed on time, promptly serving the needs of people and businesses.
To facilitate organizations and individuals to contact for work, the Immigration Department publicly posts administrative procedures, legal documents, and procedures for submitting documents to resolve administrative procedures in the field of immigration on the information portal of the Provincial Police.
The department's leaders thoroughly grasped and required each officer and soldier to always proactively innovate their working style, be friendly, dedicated, and serve the people while performing their duties.
In early 2024, the Immigration Department registered the initiative "Immigration Department, Vinh Phuc Provincial Police, in coordination with commune-level police, to accompany people in issuing passports in the electronic environment".
Accordingly, the unit coordinated with the police forces of communes, wards and towns to step up propaganda and guide people to activate level 2 identification accounts (VNeID) to submit online applications on the Ministry of Public Security's Public Service Portal.
From March 1, 2024, the unit will receive and return visa, temporary residence card, and temporary residence extension results via the online public service system. Proactively advise the Provincial Police to organize conferences to disseminate and guide agencies, organizations, and businesses with foreigners working, visiting relatives, and residing in the implementation of procedures, processes, and steps for submitting documents online, ensuring speed, accuracy, and minimizing errors. Up to now, this work has been supported and highly appreciated by agencies and businesses in the area.
In 2024, the Immigration Department of the Provincial Police Department guided and received 3,223/3,294 online applications via the Ministry of Public Security's public service portal, reaching 97.8%; issued 4,758 visas, temporary residence extensions, and temporary residence cards for foreigners. Deployed the reception of nearly 3,000 applications and returned more than 3,000 administrative procedure settlement results via public postal services, helping to save time and travel costs for people.
Thanks to the active application of digital transformation and information technology in handling administrative procedures, currently, transactions between immigration management agencies and local people are all carried out in an electronic environment.
People can do it anytime and anywhere with a computer or smartphone connected to the internet, without having to go to a state management agency to queue and get a number like before. In addition, they can proactively monitor the status of handling documents on the internet, thereby increasing the openness and transparency of administrative procedures.
Given the superiority and convenience of the digital transformation process, in the coming time, the Immigration Department will continue to maintain and improve the quality of providing online public services for administrative procedures.
Each officer and soldier in the unit constantly studies, practices, and improves their professional qualifications and foreign language skills to meet the requirements of assigned tasks and serve the people better and better.
Proactively research and propose to competent authorities to continue simplifying administrative procedures in the field of entry and exit, creating a favorable environment for production and business activities of organizations and individuals. At the same time, improve the effectiveness of state management of entry and exit, contributing to promoting investment attraction and ensuring security and order in the province.
