On the afternoon of November 27, Mr. Vu Hong Thuan - Vice Chairman of Vung Tau City People's Committee - said that it is expected that in December, the first apartments in the resettlement apartment building in Thang Tam ward will be handed over to the resettled people.

Previously, on November 25, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province issued a decision to authorize the People's Committee of Vung Tau City to decide on the subjects to be arranged housing for resettlement at the above apartment project. Currently, the People's Committee of Vung Tau City has issued a document assigning the relevant agencies to urgently organize the implementation of this authorization decision.

Thang Tam resettlement apartment project is invested by Vung Tau City People's Committee, with the goal of building social housing, arranging resettlement for households that have to hand over land to carry out investment projects in the area. The total investment amount is up to more than 550 billion VND.

This project was completed at the end of 2021, and was accepted by the Ministry of Construction for use in early 2022.

However, after nearly three years of completion, this apartment building has only now been "rescued".

Previously, Tuoi Tre Online published an article: "600 billion VND apartment building for resettlement left empty for nearly two years", posted on October 16, 2023, reflecting the waste of the above apartment building.

The initial reason was that the investor did not accept the handover of the project from the contractor. After the reflection, the investor accepted the handover of the apartment.

After that, the apartment building got stuck again because there was no apartment price yet, so it was not possible to calculate the handover fee for the people who were evicted. In May 2024, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province decided to issue a price list for renting and renting to buy at this apartment building.

But that's not all, after the price was announced, it was revealed that the authority to hand over the apartment belonged to the provincial level.

Therefore, the Vung Tau City government and the Department of Construction proposed that the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province authorize the locality to organize the review and approval of subjects to be allocated apartments in resettlement apartments. And the provincial government has issued the authorization decision as mentioned above.

Rental price, lease purchase of Thang Tam resettlement apartment

Thang Tam resettlement apartment is located near Bai Sau beach, Vung Tau and has a beautiful location, 21 floors high, has a kindergarten, parking lot. Total construction area is 3,500m², total floor area is more than 66,500m².

According to the decision of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, this apartment has a rental price of more than 41,800 VND/m². (including VAT) and the lease purchase price is over VND 24,600,000/m² (including VAT).
