After 6 months of participating in the talent internship program at Viettel, 101 students were recruited by this group, even though many of them had not graduated from university.
At the end of the Talent Trainee Program (Viettel Digital Talent) season 4, Viettel announced that 101 excellent students were accepted to work, the largest number of recruitments in the 4 years of organizing the program, among them were people who had not graduated from university.
The remaining 78 students continued on to college or graduate school.
Student Nguyen Mai Anh was awarded the first prize for technology initiative by the Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group after a 6-month talent internship.
The Talent Internship Program is a cooperative training model between universities and businesses. This model is applied by many large technology corporations in the world, but is being implemented in Vietnam for the first time by Viettel. To participate in the program, students must pass a rigorous application round.
This year, with 3,000 applications (1.5 times more than in 2023), the organizers selected 179 candidates for training and internship at key projects of the group. During the 6-month internship, the first 3 months students receive intensive training, the next 3 months are to demonstrate themselves in projects, as an official employee of Viettel. The goal is that by the end of the program, students can apply their proposals to projects, products, solutions... being implemented.
At the closing ceremony, Viettel Group awarded 10 students with the most outstanding technology initiatives. Among them, student Nguyen Mai Anh (University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) won first prize (internship in the field of Data Engineering). The second prize went to Nguyen Thi Ha Lan (FPT University) and Nguyen Quang Huy (University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
